About Lehi

Lehi is a fast-growing city at the northern end of Utah County, between Salt Lake City and Provo, at the point of the mountain where the Wasatch Front narrows. Settled by Mormon pioneers in 1850, it was long a farming town known for its flour mill and annual rodeo, and in recent decades it has become a center of Utah's technology industry, often called Silicon Slopes.

The historic Main Street still has brick buildings, the John Hutchings Museum of Natural History and the Lehi Roller Mills, a working flour mill famous from the 1984 film Footloose. Each June the Lehi Round-Up brings a rodeo, parade and community celebrations.

Lehi's biggest attraction is Thanksgiving Point, a large complex of gardens and museums. Visitors can stroll the themed Ashton Gardens, see huge dinosaur skeletons at the Museum of Ancient Life, explore the Museum of Natural Curiosity and Butterfly Biosphere, and meet animals at Farm Country. The Outlets at Traverse Mountain add shopping with mountain views.

Best seasonApril and May for tulips at Ashton Gardens; June for the Lehi Round-Up; indoor museums are good year-round.
Ideal stayOne to two days for Thanksgiving Point and historic Main Street.
ArrivingSalt Lake City International Airport is about 35 minutes north by car; FrontRunner commuter trains stop at Lehi station.
