Terms of Use
Effective September 19, 2026 · Version 2026-09-19.3
These terms govern the relevant use of WiserMap’s directory and business tools. Activity-specific sections below explain appointments, reviews, claims, profiles, advertising and submitted content. The Privacy Policy explains personal information; optional cookie choices remain separate from agreement to a service.
1. Using WiserMap
Use the platform lawfully and within the authority you hold. Where an action asks you to accept terms, review the linked text before agreeing. Merely visiting a page does not grant optional tracking consent, waive a mandatory right or authorize unrelated use of private information. If you do not accept terms required for a particular service, do not submit that service request.
2. Accounts and authority
Provide accurate account information, protect credentials and promptly report unauthorized access. Do not impersonate another person or business. An organization’s representative must be authorized to act for it. Paid business purchases require legal capacity to contract. You are responsible for conduct you authorize, subject to applicable law and the responsibilities of other parties.
3. Lawful and respectful conduct
Do not misuse forms, scrape private data, compromise systems, distribute malware, create deceptive accounts, make fraudulent bookings or manipulate reviews. Do not threaten, harass or unlawfully discriminate against others. Honest criticism and lawful consumer complaints are not prohibited merely because they are unfavorable.
4. Submitted content and permissions
You retain rights you hold in your submissions. The scope, purposes and duration of the license needed to operate the service are set out in Images, text, contact details and intellectual property. Public submissions and private booking or support data are treated differently. No general content license authorizes unrelated sale of private information.
5. Prohibited material
Do not submit unlawful, fraudulent, infringing or misleading content, private information without authority, threats, spam or harmful executable material. Review rules apply to ratings and business replies as well as written reviews. WiserMap may assess context, evidence, applicable law and the rights of affected parties when responding to reports.
Tobacco, nicotine and cannabis products
WiserMap does not allow businesses whose main purpose is selling or promoting tobacco, cigarettes, cigars, vapes, e-cigarettes, shisha, other nicotine products or cannabis. We may remove such listings, reviews, photos or ads at any time without notice.
6. Moderation and access restrictions
Content and account restrictions are governed by Restrictions, suspension, appeals and deletion. A report or automated flag is a reason to assess content, not proof that it is unlawful. We do not promise to investigate or independently verify every submission. Paying for a plan or campaign does not purchase control over lawful customer criticism.
7. WiserMap and third-party intellectual property
WiserMap’s software, design, branding and original materials are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. Third-party names, marks and content remain their owners’ property. Use the service through the provided features; obtain permission for other uses unless an applicable legal exception permits them. Nothing transfers ownership of another party’s rights to you.
8. Independent businesses and external services
Businesses are responsible for their offerings, personnel, professional permissions, prices and customer service. User reviews express their authors’ experiences and opinions. A listing, claim verification, rating, Sponsored label or payment-provider integration is not a guarantee of suitability or every factual claim. External sites and services may have separate terms. Use your judgment and verify information important to your decision.
9. Liability and responsibility
The qualified limitations and responsibilities in Responsibilities, lawful limitations and disputes apply. WiserMap does not promise uninterrupted availability, error-free content or a particular commercial outcome. No disclaimer excludes liability that applicable law prohibits excluding, and no term guarantees immunity for WiserMap, its associates or a user.
10. Changes and records
Policies show their effective date and version. We retain versioned records for accepted activities and provide further notice or obtain fresh agreement when required. New terms do not retroactively remove mandatory rights or manufacture consent. Keep the purchase and booking records relevant to your activity.
11. Applicable rights and dispute resolution
Applicable law determines enforceability and available remedies. Mandatory consumer, privacy and other protections remain effective. Contact Support to seek a practical resolution; doing so does not remove the right to approach a regulator or a court with lawful jurisdiction. These terms do not create a new mandatory arbitration agreement or authorize misleading threats against reviewers.
12. Contact WiserMap Support
Open a terms-related support ticket. Include the relevant page, transaction or decision and a concise explanation. You can submit a privacy request without purchasing a plan, accepting optional tracking or opening an account. Keep passwords, full card details and unnecessary sensitive documents out of ordinary messages.
Additional platform terms
Effective September 19, 2026 · Version 2026-09-19.3
These activity-specific terms explain the responsibilities of visitors, customers and businesses. Read the applicable sections before using a feature.
Appointment terms for customers
WiserMap supplies booking technology. The business identified on the booking page is responsible for the service, its staff, professional qualifications, safety, facilities, prices, taxes, availability and fulfillment. A listing, review score or booking confirmation is not WiserMap’s warranty of service quality or licensing. Verify suitability with the business before relying on a service; do not use this platform for emergencies.
Check the business, service, date, displayed time zone, visit location and contact details before submitting. A pending request is not a confirmed appointment. A confirmation records the booking status but does not guarantee that a business cannot subsequently reschedule or cancel. Keep your confirmation and contact the business if an update is unclear. Notifications may be delayed, filtered or undeliverable.
Provide accurate information and book only for yourself or someone you are authorized to represent. Do not reserve slots deceptively, make repeated speculative bookings, impersonate others, or submit payment-card details, passwords, identity documents or unnecessary medical information in notes. The selected business receives the information needed to handle the appointment, including any address and answers you provide.
Service prices, deposits, travel fees, cancellation deadlines, refunds and no-show charges must be disclosed by the business before you agree to them. A price shown as an estimate or custom quote is not a final price. WiserMap does not create an undisclosed cancellation fee merely because you use its booking tool. Contact the business promptly about changes, lateness, accessibility needs, cancellation or service disputes. Statutory cancellation and refund rights remain applicable.
Use the management link supplied with your booking only for your own appointment. Treat it as confidential: anyone possessing an access-bearing link may be able to view or manage the booking. Do not forward it publicly. Report unauthorized changes to WiserMap Support. Booking communications are operational messages; placing an appointment does not subscribe you to unrelated marketing.
Appointment terms for business owners
You must have authority to offer the services and maintain all required licenses, insurance, staffing and permissions. Keep hours, time zones, service duration, availability, addresses, pricing and booking instructions accurate. Monitor requests, resolve scheduling conflicts, communicate changes promptly and honor confirmed appointments or offer a lawful resolution. You remain responsible for services delivered by your staff and contractors.
Disclose material service terms before booking, including deposits, cancellation and no-show rules, travel charges, whether a price is estimated, and any eligibility restrictions. Do not introduce retroactive charges or misleading scarcity. WiserMap’s appointment subscription is a separate technology service; it does not make WiserMap the provider of your customer’s service.
Appointment access is a paid subscription where offered. The checkout displays the applicable currency, recurring amount, billing interval and cancellation terms. The advertised US appointment plan is $9.99 per month; rely on the amount expressly presented at your checkout for your purchase. Cancel future renewal through Plans & Billing or contact Support if access fails. Cancellation does not erase existing customer obligations or automatically refund a completed billing period; mandatory rights and any expressly offered refund still apply.
Use booking data only to administer the requested service, comply with lawful obligations and purposes for which you have a valid basis. Do not sell booking contacts, scrape them, enroll customers in unrelated marketing without a lawful basis, or request unnecessary sensitive information through custom fields. Limit staff access, remove former staff promptly and report suspected unauthorized access to Support. You are responsible for your own privacy notices, retention and handling of copies exported or received outside WiserMap.
Maintain a reasonable alternative means of scheduling and retain records you need lawfully. Availability, reminders and integrations can fail; WiserMap does not promise uninterrupted service or guarantee delivery of every notification. Subscription cancellation, suspension or technical failure does not relieve you of responsibility to contact affected customers. Do not describe appointment software as medical, emergency or other regulated professional advice.
Review terms for users
Reviews must reflect your genuine experience and accurately distinguish facts from opinions. Do not invent experiences, impersonate a customer, submit coordinated or duplicate reviews, or use automated tools to manufacture engagement. Disclose a material relationship or benefit when relevant. Do not accept or offer compensation conditioned on a positive or negative rating, or post undisclosed insider reviews.
You are responsible for the text, title, rating and images you submit and for having the necessary rights and permissions. Do not publish another person’s private contact information, booking identifiers, payment details, identity documents or sensitive information. Avoid threats, harassment, unlawful discrimination, defamatory factual allegations, sexually explicit material, malware, spam and unrelated promotion.
Reviews and associated public profile information can be visible to businesses, visitors and search engines. A business may respond publicly. We may format, moderate, restrict or remove content that violates these terms or applicable law, and may ask for proportionate evidence of a genuine experience. A negative opinion alone is not a reason for removal. We do not guarantee publication, a particular ranking or independent verification of every statement.
Use Support to report a review, request correction or contest a moderation decision. Identify the review and explain the specific issue; do not send unnecessary sensitive evidence. We assess context and applicable rights. Removing an account does not necessarily remove every lawfully retained review or third-party copy; request content removal separately and we will assess it under the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
Review and response terms for businesses
Business owners and authorized representatives may respond through the review tools available to their account. Responses are public and must be relevant, professional and truthful. Protect the reviewer’s privacy even if you believe the review is inaccurate: do not disclose appointment records, addresses, health details, private messages or payment information in a reply.
Do not purchase fabricated reviews, have staff pose as independent customers, condition rewards on favorable sentiment, threaten reviewers, or suppress lawful criticism through intimidation or misleading legal claims. Neutral requests for honest feedback must not misrepresent eligibility or hide a material incentive. Buying a subscription, claiming a listing or advertising does not entitle a business to remove unfavorable reviews or change ratings.
Report suspected fraud, conflicts of interest or prohibited content to WiserMap Support with specific evidence. You may politely invite a reviewer to resolve a service issue privately, but must not require removal of lawful criticism as the price of providing a remedy already owed. We may moderate responses and review activity consistently with our policies and legal obligations.
Review totals, averages and displayed ordering may change as content is added, corrected, filtered or removed. They are informational and do not guarantee future results, endorsement, safety or regulatory compliance. Imported or third-party review content remains subject to its identified source and applicable permissions.
Claiming a business
Submit a claim only if you are the owner or have current authority to represent the business. Provide accurate evidence and maintain an email account or other verification channel you lawfully control. Do not forge documents, impersonate an owner, intercept verification communications or use a claim to obtain a competitor’s data.
We may request reasonable additional evidence, contact existing representatives, delay a disputed claim, reject insufficient evidence or revoke access obtained improperly. Verification establishes the particular access checks we performed; it is not a guarantee of ownership, business quality, licensing or the truth of every listing detail. A claim does not transfer ownership of customer reviews or third-party intellectual property.
Notify Support of ownership changes, competing claims, compromised credentials or an employee’s departure. We may temporarily restrict disputed changes while assessing evidence. Use the claim-related support option to request review and identify the listing; avoid sending identity documents through an ordinary public form unless Support provides an appropriate method.
Claiming a business provides access to free business profile tools; it does not itself purchase advertising or appointments. Any paid feature requires its own clearly presented checkout. A business listing may remain publicly available based on lawful directory information even after account access ends; correction, deletion and listing disputes are assessed separately.
Managing a profile and delegated access
Keep your business name, category, location, service area, contact details, hours, website, services, prices, photos and qualifications accurate and current. Do not create deceptive duplicate listings, misstate verification, impersonate another business, conceal material restrictions or publish unlawful offers. You must have permission to use the addresses, phone numbers and other contact details you publish.
Grant access only to people authorized to perform their assigned tasks. Where role-based controls are available, use the minimum access required. Otherwise do not share a personal password as a substitute for supported delegation; contact Support for an appropriate access arrangement. You remain responsible for instructions given to your representatives and activity you authorize, subject to applicable law. Remove access promptly when authorization ends.
Check edits made by employees, contractors, agencies and integrations. Protect login and recovery credentials and report compromise promptly. A profile transfer or business sale requires a legitimate transfer process; it does not permit the sale of customer data or transfer of another person’s account without authority.
WiserMap may correct formatting, duplicate or misleading information, label paid placements, or restrict features to maintain platform integrity. Search position, visibility, review volume and customer acquisition are not guaranteed. Paid features are governed by their displayed plan and do not purchase immunity from moderation.
Images, text, contact details and intellectual property
Upload only content you own or are permitted to use. Obtain necessary permission from photographers, copyright owners and identifiable people where required. Avoid publishing children’s images or another person’s private information without appropriate authorization. Do not upload stolen logos, misleading before-and-after photos, malware or material that violates law or another person’s rights.
You retain rights you hold in submitted content. You grant WiserMap a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, resize, display and distribute that content as reasonably necessary to operate, promote the specific listing or content you submitted, secure and improve the platform. This does not transfer ownership or authorize unrelated sale of private booking or support information. Necessary service providers may process content for these purposes under appropriate obligations.
The license lasts while content is available through the service and for reasonable operational, backup, dispute and legal retention afterward. Removing content cannot recall lawful third-party copies, search-engine caches or material already relied on in a dispute. Any use beyond the stated purposes requires an appropriate separate basis or permission.
Business contact information marked for publication is public and may be indexed or copied by others. Use business contact details rather than a private home address or personal phone when possible. Do not use published contact information for spam, harassment or unlawful profiling. Private account, booking and support fields are handled under the Privacy Policy, not treated as public merely because a business has a listing.
Report copyright, impersonation or privacy complaints through Support with the relevant URL, your contact details, the right involved and a good-faith explanation of your authority. Do not submit fraudulent takedown notices. We may request additional information, restrict content and share the substance of a complaint with affected parties where needed and lawful, while limiting unnecessary personal information.
Restrictions, suspension, appeals and deletion
We may restrict content, pause a feature or suspend access where reasonably necessary to address fraud, security incidents, unlawful conduct, repeated policy violations, unpaid obligations or material harm. Measures should be proportionate to the circumstances. Where lawful and safe, we will provide the reason and an opportunity to correct the issue or appeal. We may act without advance notice when notice would increase harm, undermine an investigation or violate law.
Appeal through WiserMap Support, identifying the account or listing, decision and relevant facts. Request human review if you believe an automated flag or incorrect information contributed. An appeal does not guarantee reinstatement. Do not evade a restriction with deceptive replacement accounts or retaliate against reporters.
Account closure, public listing removal, review removal, subscription cancellation and a personal-data deletion request are different actions. Specify which outcome you need. Cancelling renewal does not itself delete an account; deleting access does not necessarily remove lawfully retained directory facts or reviews. We will explain applicable limitations and required steps through Support.
Data may be retained where necessary for fraud prevention, disputes, accounting, legal obligations or another lawful exception. We restrict use of retained information to the relevant purpose. We do not condition statutory privacy rights on abandoning a complaint or buying a plan.
Responsibilities, lawful limitations and disputes
These additional terms apply to the relevant activities alongside the general Terms of Use, Privacy Policy and the checkout terms for a purchased service. If a general disclaimer conflicts with a mandatory consumer or privacy right, that right prevails. Nothing requires waiver of rights that cannot lawfully be waived, including applicable rights concerning truthful reviews, personal information, refunds or remedies.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, WiserMap and its personnel, affiliates and service providers are not responsible for independent businesses’ services, third-party statements, unauthorized conduct outside their reasonable control, or indirect losses that the law permits parties to exclude. No exclusion applies to liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited. Nothing excuses fraud or other conduct for which an exclusion would be unlawful.
You are responsible for losses arising from your unlawful conduct, infringement or material breach to the extent established under applicable law. Any request to reimburse WiserMap or its associates for a third-party claim must be lawful, proportionate to your responsibility and subject to applicable defenses and procedural rights; it is not a blanket transfer of every risk to a visitor or consumer.
Contact Support to seek a practical resolution and include the transaction, listing or decision involved. This process does not prevent urgent legal relief, a complaint to a regulator or exercise of mandatory rights, and does not impose a new arbitration agreement or remove a court’s lawful jurisdiction. Applicable limitation periods are not extended merely by opening a ticket.
We may revise policies to reflect service or legal changes. The published version and effective date identify the current text. Material changes will be communicated as required, and new consent sought when necessary. A revised policy does not retroactively authorize a use of data that requires consent or override an existing mandatory right. Keep a copy of the terms relevant to your transaction.
