How do I find a business?
Use the search box on the homepage to search by name or what you need, or browse Categories. Each result links to the business’s own page.
What is on a business page?
Depending on what the business has added: contact details, hours, location, photos, services, menu, team, updates, frequently asked questions, reviews and, for some businesses, online appointment booking.
Is WiserMap free to use?
Yes. Searching, reading reviews, writing reviews and booking appointments are free for visitors.
Something on a business page is wrong. How do I report it?
Send a support request with the business name and what needs fixing. If it is your business, you can claim it and update it yourself.

What is a place page?
A page for a city, town or village with a short list of things worth doing, real photos and the basics you need before you go. Browse them on Places.
How are place pages checked?
Our team reviews every new place page before it is published.
Where do the place photos come from?
They are real photos of the place from openly licensed collections. We don’t use stock images or AI-generated pictures.

Reviews and photos
Share honest experiences and help others choose.
How do I write a review?
Open the business page and choose Write a review. Describe your own experience clearly and add a star rating.
Who can write a review?
Anyone with a real, first-hand experience with the business. You can’t review your own business, a business you work for, or a competitor, and you can’t accept payment, discounts or gifts in exchange for a review.
What should a good review include?
What happened, when, and what you thought, in your own words. Be specific and respectful. Leave out personal information, insults and anything you didn’t experience yourself.
Can I add photos to a business?
Yes. Use the photos section on the business page. The business can review photos before they appear on its page.
How do I report a review?
Send a support request with a link to the review and why you think it breaks the guidelines. Reviews that break the guidelines are removed.

Appointments
Book with businesses that take appointments on WiserMap.
How do I book an appointment?
On the business page, choose Book an appointment (only shown when the business takes online bookings), pick a service, date and time, and confirm.
How do I change or cancel my appointment?
Use the Manage appointment link in your confirmation email. From there you can also add the appointment to your calendar.
Who do I contact about my appointment?
Contact the business directly using the details on its page. WiserMap provides the booking tool; the business provides the service.

Do I need an account?
You can search and browse without one. An account lets you manage your reviews and profile. Create an account or log in.
I forgot my password.
Choose Forgot password on the login page and follow the link we email you.
How do I keep my account secure?
Use a strong, unique password and turn on two-factor authentication in your account settings.
How do I change cookie or advertising choices?
Open Cookie settings on the Terms of Use page. Optional cookies stay off until you allow them.
How do I make a privacy request?
Send a privacy request. The Privacy Policy explains what we collect and your choices.

For business owners
List, claim and manage your business on WiserMap.
How do I add my business?
Go to For Businesses, create a business account and follow the steps to add your details.
My business is already listed. How do I claim it?
Use Claim your business, find your listing and follow the verification steps. Once approved, you manage the page from your business dashboard.
What can I manage from the business dashboard?
Your business details, photos, services, products, menu, team, FAQs and amenities, appointments and booking settings, reviews, notifications, billing and support tickets.
How do I take appointments?
Set up your services and availability in the Appointments settings of your business dashboard. Customers can then book from your business page.
Can I respond to reviews?
Yes. Reviews for your business are listed in your dashboard. You can’t edit or remove a customer’s review yourself. If a review breaks the guidelines, contact support.
How do I get help with my business account?
Open a ticket from the Support section of your business dashboard, or send a support request.

Plans, billing and advertising
Paid options for businesses.
What paid options are there?
Businesses can choose a subscription plan from Subscription in the business dashboard, and can run sponsored advertising. Current plans and prices are shown there before you pay.
Where do I find my invoices?
In Billing and Subscription in your business dashboard, where you can view each transaction and its invoice.
How does advertising on WiserMap work?
Sponsored placements are clearly labeled. See Advertising and the Advertising Terms for what a campaign includes.
