About Paradise

Paradise is the unincorporated town in Clark County that holds most of the famous Las Vegas Strip. Although nearly everyone calls it Las Vegas, the giant resorts south of Sahara Avenue, Harry Reid International Airport and the University of Nevada, Las Vegas all sit in Paradise, home to about 190,000 residents and tens of millions of visitors a year.

Las Vegas Boulevard is the main event, a four-mile line of themed megaresorts, casinos, shows and restaurants. The Bellagio's dancing fountains, the replica skyline of New York-New York with its roller coaster, the MGM Grand and the High Roller observation wheel are all here, along with world-famous nightclubs, celebrity chef restaurants and big production shows.

T-Mobile Arena hosts NHL hockey, boxing and concerts, and the Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign at the south end of the Strip is a favorite photo stop. Away from the neon, the UNLV campus and quiet neighborhoods fill the eastern side of town, and Red Rock Canyon, Hoover Dam and Lake Mead are each under an hour's drive.

Best seasonMarch to May and September to November for warm days and comfortable evenings; summers are very hot.
Ideal stayThree days for the Strip, a show and a desert day trip.
ArrivingHarry Reid International Airport is right in Paradise, minutes from the Strip.
