About Eagan
Eagan is a suburban city of about 68,000 people in Dakota County, Minnesota, just south of Saint Paul and across the Minnesota River from the Minneapolis-Saint Paul airport. Farmland until the 1960s, it grew quickly into a corporate and residential hub, home to large offices and the Minnesota Vikings' headquarters and training facility.
Nature is a big draw. Lebanon Hills Regional Park covers about 2,000 acres of lakes, wetlands and wooded hills with hiking, mountain biking, paddling and a visitor center at Schulze Lake. The city's Holz Farm Park preserves a 1940s family farm, and Caponi Art Park presents outdoor sculpture, trails and summer performances in a wooded valley.
Families head to Cascade Bay Water Park in summer, shoppers to the Twin Cities Premium Outlets, and football fans to the Vikings' TCO Performance Center during training camp. Downtown Saint Paul, the Mall of America and the Minnesota Zoo are all within about 20 minutes.
