About Inglewood

Inglewood is a city in southwest Los Angeles County, just east of Los Angeles International Airport and a few miles from the beaches. The land was once part of Rancho Aguaje de la Centinela, and the Centinela Adobe from the 1830s still stands as a reminder of the rancho days. The town was founded in 1888 during a Southern California land boom and incorporated in 1908.

Inglewood has long been a home of sports and entertainment. The Forum hosted the Lakers and Kings for decades and remains a famous concert arena, and the former Hollywood Park racetrack is now the site of SoFi Stadium, home of the Rams and Chargers, along with the new Intuit Dome. These venues have brought Super Bowls to the city, and they are set to host events of the 2028 Olympic Games.

The city is also known for Randy's Donuts and its giant rooftop donut, a strong Black community and culture, historic Market Street downtown, and green spaces such as Edward Vincent Jr. Park.

Best seasonPleasant all year; spring and fall are sunny and mild, and summers are warm with ocean breezes.
Ideal stayHalf a day to a day for a game or concert, Randy's Donuts, the Centinela Adobe and Market Street.
ArrivingLos Angeles International Airport is about 10 minutes away, Metro K Line trains serve the city, and Interstate 405 runs along its western edge.
