Mangla Boating Club

Its good palace for boating. There is almost one km steep slope walk from car parking to boating point. The boating charges ranges from 600 PKR to 1500 PKR per trip. For summer hot weather there is no shlter around boating point. There is cafeteria near parking.

Mangla Dam was more amazing than i have heared. So clean and lush blue water like Gilgit Baltistan. Boating facility was available too. Good place for 1 day tour. Situated very near of Mirpur Azad Kashmir.

Mangla dam is one of the beautiful locations in Jhelum region it is located at the border of Punjab and Kashmir. Location is now almost fully managed by military however civilians can go in there is a lot of security but after security tech you will be allowed to go to the boating club area. Unfortunately it is no more than a makeshift shack with some vendors selling cold drinks and tea probably some food is also made in the evening times we visited that during the afternoon and early morning therefore there was only a cold drinks and some crisps available there are some boats which are available for sailing within the lake I am attaching some photographs however I think there is no sports other than just a touristic boat rides and so forth unfortunately area is not well managed and is full of later especially at the edges of the lake which is very unfortunate this place has a huge tourism potential for recreation and boats for sports therefore if it is developed properly there is indeed a great place to visit.

A very good place, the pleasant weather makes the experience more refreshing and memorable. Good water sport facilities but unfortunately parasailing was not available on that day due to weather issues. Clean restaurant with minimum choices. Unfortunately, place is restricted by army control and despite our best efforts we were unable to visit power house. Anyway a good experience and a learning lesson for children.

It was way better before. It has more refreshment spots and family area but now it's barren place. No good for boating even. Water level is so low now. But a best place for long drives as have more scenic views on the way
