Smokin' Grill Cafe (SGC) - Mirpur AJK

The Tomahawk is extremely expensive twice the price of any other steak I have ever had. The taste is good, especially when it comes to the fat which is rich and flavorful. However, they should consider serving it on an iron plate as it gets cold too quickly making it difficult to enjoy.

Top spot! Smokin Grill Cafe never disappoints — amazing food, great vibes, and top-notch service. Big shoutout to Adnan, the main man making it all happen. Always welcoming and passionate about what he does. A must-visit!

I've been here a few times now and their burgers (grilled peri peri) and steaks (especially the Mexican flavour) were brilliant! Same goes for their brownie although it's not chewy but more cakey. Their fudge cake slice is a bit too sweet - maybe reduce the icing but otherwise delicious. Disappointed that in one of my visits they charged me for a burger I didn't order but didn't see the receipt till couple days later and on this visit, the place was empty and with so many servers they still managed to do this. Since then, I check my receipt. Would visit though as food is great and staff are lovely.

I recently visited this restaurant located with a beautiful view of Mangla Dam, and it really adds a relaxing and scenic touch to the dining experience. Sitting there with the water in sight makes the whole outing feel refreshing and enjoyable. I tried their Parmesan Chicken Pasta. The portion size was generous, and the presentation was very inviting. The taste was overall good and satisfying, though I personally found the sauce a little less creamy and rich compared to what I usually expect in this type of pasta. The fried crumb topping added crunch, but to me it felt slightly out of place for pasta. Still, it showed that the kitchen is trying to give a unique twist instead of sticking to very plain recipes, which I do appreciate. Apart from that, I’ve heard a lot of positive reviews about their other items like burgers, steaks, pizzas, wings, and shakes. The menu is quite extensive, covering everything from fast food to hearty meals, so it’s a good spot whether you’re going for a casual snack or a proper dinner with family or friends. Overall, the combination of good food, diverse options, and the amazing Mangla Dam view makes this restaurant worth visiting. With a little more refinement in taste balance – for example, making pasta sauces creamier and more authentic – this place can easily move up to a full 5-star experience. I would definitely recommend it for families and groups looking to enjoy both food and ambiance together.

I recently visited Smoking Grill near Mangla Dam in Mirpur and had an excellent dining experience. I tried their Crown Crust Pizza, Tarragon Steak, various burgers, other pizzas, and steaks – and everything was outstanding. Their pastas were also delicious, especially the Parmesan Pasta. What stood out the most for me was the Tarragon Steak, perfectly cooked and served with flavorful sides like fries and mashed potatoes. The service was prompt and courteous, and the ambiance added to the overall enjoyable experience. I’ve visited this branch multiple times and have also dined at their Downtown branch, which is equally impressive. Highly recommended!
