Waikiki Beach
Waikiki is a string of connected beaches running about two miles along the south shore, backed by Kalakaua Avenue and a wall of hotels. The water is generally gentle near shore, which makes it one of the best places in Hawaii to take a first surf lesson on long, rolling waves.
