
Point Lobos State Natural Reserve
Just south of Carmel, Point Lobos is often called the crown jewel of California's state parks. Short, mostly level trails loop around coves of green water, granite headlands and groves of wind-shaped Monterey cypress, one of only two natural stands of the tree.
