Granite City Tire & Auto - St. Cloud

I went to Granite City Auto and Tire for a simple alignment. Instead of actually addressing the alignment, I was told they couldn’t perform it because I supposedly needed new ball joints. That didn’t sit right with me, so I took my vehicle to two other shops for second opinions. Both confirmed the ball joints were perfectly fine and that the issue was simply camber adjustment. No major parts needed. No expensive suspension work. Just a proper alignment. It’s frustrating to feel like you’re being upsold on unnecessary repairs rather than getting an honest diagnosis. An alignment appointment shouldn’t turn into a parts replacement pitch without clear evidence to back it up. I’d recommend getting a second opinion if you’re quoted suspension work here. Transparency and accurate diagnostics matter.

Dan Hagerty is the “absolute best” mechanic on the face of this earth. He sets the standard which all Goodyear employees should follow. It always feel like home when I enter your fine establishment!

I had an excellent experience at Granite Tire. The facility was very clean. I came in for an estimate and scheduled the work to be completed. I didn't have any other transportation so I waited while my repairs were completed. The seats in the waiting area are comfortable. Both the cost and time estimated were spot on. I am pleased with the repairs. I left feeling like my ride was safer and the clunking was gone. This place is amazing!

Had an appt scheduled for 9:30am & Curt's team had me out the door by 12pm! Serpentine belt & complete rear brake job completed at a fair price and the service has always been outstanding!

The best thing I can say is the guy at the desk was very nice. We were traveling through and a tire was out of balance. I am sure a weight had come off due to the cold weather. The guy said it would be an extra $20 because they were custom wheels and they were harder to do. No problem except when we got back on the interstate the wobble was a lot worse than before I paid $112 to have them rotated and balanced. I called them and told them what the situation was and the guy gave me an excuse. My question is why was it perfect 6?weeks previously when I had them balanced before?
