I can't say enough good things about both Craig and Mark. We had always dealt with Mark and have referred many people to him, and recently I started playing bass and took my bass to Craig. He literally transformed it, and helped me pick out strings that will work great for both a small orchestra and a swing band where bright pizzicato is needed. They are very reasonable in their prices and SO knowledgeable, friendly and skillful!

I’ve been renting and working with Craig and Mark since I started playing bass when I was 9 years old, and I have had nothing but the BEST service! When Craig opened up Burton City Basses I was ecstatic to see a DEDICATED BASS SHOP in the Flint area! Not soon after I was in the market for a new bass and went to the shop. When I was there I let Craig know I was looking to trade in and purchase, he took me to the bass room to try out several different basses in my price range until we finally landed on the one. I then purchased a beautiful 1920s Hornsteiner bass that I still to this day have had nothing but amazing experiences with! Went there to get a new bridge cut for my bass and they did an absolutely phenomenal job with it! Felt like I had a new bass afterwards. I also got a soundpost adjustment and an open seam closed. I would recommend Burton City Basses for any bassists looking to get work done.
