Visited Aanch Restaurant Islamabad and ordered Afghani Chicken Karahi. The chicken was hard and undercooked (kacha pakka), which ruined the taste. The AC was off when we arrived, and only turned on after we complained. Prices are very high compared to the average service and poor food quality. Definitely not worth the hype.

Vegetarians in PK are generally given a limited choice but when you see a baigan ka bharta on the menu, well that's different here. Now I've had quite a few baigan dishes, but this smacked all of them out of the park. The flavours in your mouth at the beginning when you eat it are not the same as the flavours at the end. And that is every mouthful.....the palak paneer, another veggie classic, is nicely seasoned and spiced, and offers a great contrast to the aubergine/eggplant (call it what you will). The mixed veg was smoky and flavoursome, but after the other 2 dishes, was slightly disappointing. And the dal completes those standard vegetarian dishes found in PK, but not one of them is standard. Every single dish goes well with each other, and also with the awesome array of fresh naan. Plenty of meat dishes too for those of you who aren't veggie.... but seriously - try that baigan!

Had a wonderful experience today! The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was so polite, cooperative, and friendly. Definitely one of the best places to dine. Highly recommended

This is one of the few places in Islamabad that offer delicious desi items. Apart from the starters our experience was wonderful. We ordered: French fries ⭐⭐⭐ Gol gappay ⭐⭐ Butter chicken ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Palak paneer ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Malmali boti ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Chicken biryani ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ In the starters we ordered fries and gol gappay. Fries were over fried and gol gappay were soggy. Now let's come over to the mains Butter chicken was rich in flavour and it was one of the best butter chickens I've tried in Islamabad. Palak paneer was also top notch with the right blend of palak and paneer. I don't know if you guys will understand it what I'm trying to say but it tasted like natural palak paneer and not artificial like some other restaurants offer. Biryani tasted good as well. It wasn't bombarded with masalas like others do and the quality of spices they use makes their food tastier. The malmali boti was best in flavour but it was slightly undercooked from the inside. Now coming over to the staff and ambiance: The staff is welcoming and the seating area is warm and soothing. There are around 20 steps on the stairs before the entrance so you need to be careful when coming with very old people.

So we went to Aanch after seeing good review but guess what it was not as much exciting or good as it has been portraid. So if you have just need to go somewhere new expect an average experience from it. If you are located in ISB F6 and charge people alot then resturant need to work on their ambience atleast. Sofas had layer of dust in it i just put my hand and can see my hand print there due to dust. Really need to take care of hygiene. As for food it was not bad. But 11k for two karahis too much to ask as compare to experience and taste. Mutton madrasi handi was good , for taste i will rate it 8/10 but in 5k serving was really small so price wise its 7/10. Aannch special Chicken karahi was not good in taste . I had better white chicken karahi. Will rate it 4/10. Less options for bread part. They had no mix naan basket which normally resturants are serving. Really wanted to have beef behari and puri paratha but they didnt have it. Overall it was okish experience.
