Rumba - The Meat Factory

For starters we ordered jalapeno poppers which were quite delicious. In the main course we ordered their steak which was good in taste but I think the beef was left too long in the meat tenderizer which made the meat dissolve in the mouth rather than just make it soft/tender. I ordered the honey mustard chicken, it was nice but could've been made better if there was a bit more honey mustard sauce with the grilled chicken.

I ordered the imported steak well-done, but it was served medium-rare every time. Unfortunately, the meat was also quite fatty, making it difficult to finish. It seems the staff may not be familiar with the differences in steak cooking temperatures. On a positive note, the atmosphere was cosy and inviting. Also the side-dishes were weird, no option for mashed potatoes. Some peach fruit was available (very strange). Better to visit Carnivore which is around the corner.

Visited Rumba close to their closing time. I tried their medium Sirloin steak and the unfortunately it was disappointing. The cut wasn't well prepared, it had tough white connective tissue and thin transparent membrane. Which made the steak chewy. My friend's stake didn't look medium (which he ordered) it looked more medium rare as the inside was still pink. Althought the atmosphere and service was good. The manager listened to our feedback and gave us a 20% on one of the steaks.

I came to Rumba specifically to try their Australian steak beef, and I’m so glad I did it was absolutely outstanding. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium-rare) with a beautiful sear on the outside and an incredibly juicy, tender interior. You could really taste the high quality of the meat rich, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. Every bite was a reminder of how great a well-prepared steak can be. The seasoning was spot-on, enhancing the natural flavor of the beef without overpowering it. The sides were decent and complemented the steak well, though nothing particularly memorable. Service was average not bad at all, just standard. The staff were polite and efficient, but there wasn't anything especially warm or standout about the interaction. The atmosphere was also pretty normal—not too fancy, not too casual just a regular dining setting without much flair. But honestly, the steak alone makes it worth the visit. If you're coming here for the food, especially the beef, you won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely return just for that amazing steak, and I'd recommend it to anyone looking for top-quality beef done right. Rumba truly knows how to treat a great cut of meat.

We tried their breakfast/brunch platter for two, and everything was absolutely spot on. The croissants were fresh and flaky, the eggs with cheese melted perfectly in the mouth, and the chicken tarragon was simply delicious. Every item on the platter was well-prepared and full of flavor. The ambiance was clean, cozy, and casual — perfect for a relaxed morning meal. I’d highly recommend Rumba’s breakfast to anyone looking for a satisfying and enjoyable start to their day in Islamabad.
