Main Street and the fudge shops
Main Street runs along the harbor, lined with fudge shops, ice cream parlors, gift stores and bike rental stands. Many fudge makers pour and paddle the fudge on marble slabs in front windows, which is half the fun.
Motor vehicles have been banned on Mackinac Island since the late 1890s, so horses and bikes fill Main Street. Photo: Mnanian, Wikimedia Commons, CC BY-SA 4.0
