An Environment That Hurts More Than It Helps > I studied here from 2021 to 2025, and honestly, it’s been a mix of good and bad. There are a few amazing teachers who really care, and the library isn’t bad at all. But those positives don’t erase the problems I’ve seen and lived through. The hardest part was dealing with certain staff members. On the surface they act polite, but behind closed doors it’s a different story — intimidation, favoritism, and an attitude that kills open thinking. They should be guiding students, but too often they end up discouraging them. When you try to speak up, complaints just sit there. Sometimes nothing happens for months, and you start to feel like your voice doesn’t matter. If your opinions don’t match theirs, you can expect to be treated differently — sometimes subtly, sometimes openly. Over time, you stop feeling like you’re at a university. It feels more like walking through a political and religious battlefield, where you’re careful about every word and every step. Instead of focusing on learning, you’re focused on surviving. I’m writing this because I wish someone had told me all this before I joined. Education should be about curiosity, growth, and respect for all students. Sadly, my time here showed me how far this place is from that ideal.
