About North River Tavern

North River Tavern is a neighborhood bar on Roswell Road in north Sandy Springs with a beer cellar, craft brews on tap and creative cocktails. Its own website sums it up as jumbo wings, craft burgers and cold beer, with team trivia, pool, darts and every game on screen, and it is open until 2 AM every day of the week.

Planned on going here for a themed trivia night that they were advertising for the past month now. We called to confirm that they were still having it due to storms and such and learned that you needed to reserve you spot for the trivia even though it said nowhere in the advertisements about reserving your spot. We would have called a month ago if we knew.

No waiter or waitress to be found it was 12:00 !! Had to find someone to take order. Philly cheese egg rolls awful, way over cooked. Wings & onion rings only good things we ordered. Will probably not be back.

Stopped here on a whim for lunch. Wonderful waitress and awesome food. The place was clean and the atmosphere was fit for a tavern.

I was enjoying myself until I saw a roach crawling out of the rolled silverware. We had wings and fries so we didn’t need to use them. We had already ate and paid. While finishing up our drink we saw the roach crawl out the silverware. We threw away our left overs after seeing that and I felt sick to my stomach. Informed the manager and her response was they passed there pest inspection and the roach 🪳 probably came from outside. Our waitress was polite and on top of her job that’s the only reason I gave a 5 star for service. The manager was defensive and insensitive to us. We didn’t even ask for money back, we were just informing her. Her response made me feel like she was already aware. Will never eat there again!

We visit the North River Tavern quite a bit, but tonight, Our server, Stephanie, was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. We were also pleasantly surprised by how quick the wait was, which made the visit even better.The food truly stole the show. The onion rings were SOOO good—perfectly crispy and flavorful. And the firecracker burger? Even better! Packed with flavor and cooked to perfection, my husband says the chicken tenders are 10/10! it’s definitely a must-try.Overall, this place is a solid 10/10. Great service, delicious food!

Even 1 star is too much. Every time I come here, the staff are extremely rude, aggressive, and disrespectful to customers. I always leave good tips, yet their attitude never changes. They make you feel uncomfortable the entire time.They also have no idea how to make cocktails. Every drink tastes wrong and inconsistent, like nobody behind the bar actually knows what they’re doing. Zero quality, zero professionalism.The atmosphere is tense, the service is terrible, and the employees act like they’re angry at customers for simply being there. One of the worst experiences I’ve had around Sandy Springs. Definitely do not recommend.”Abby was the only person there who actually knew what she was doıng; by not having her there, they’re going to lose customers.

My friends and I came in for the first time last night and had a great time ! The atmosphere was very nice and I really appreciated our server, Johnny, taking the time to talk to us, walk us through the menu and make us feel welcome. He insisted we try the Kevin burger and it did not disappoint. Will definitely be coming back soon 👍

Visted with co workers greatvspace. Dark wood decor made place kinda dark. But. Good experience. Staff were friendly. Drinks were good. Apps were great. Food was ok.
