Koontz Heating & Air

I contacted Koontz for a quote to replace my ductwork. I did receive the estimate, but the follow-up was extremely poor. After reviewing the quote, I called with questions and did not receive a callback for several days. I called again — still no response from the service manager. After waiting over a week and a half with no communication, I decided to move forward with another company. Shortly after, the service manager called offering to match the competitor’s price. I told him directly that if they had simply returned my calls in a reasonable time, they would have had the job. Unfortunately, the other contractor didn’t fully complete the return work correctly, so I gave Koontz another opportunity and reached back out. The service manager apologized and said he would help and get back to me — but once again, no follow-up. After multiple messages and several more days of waiting, I contacted the owner to make him aware that the lack of communication had already cost them one job. His response was dismissive, stating they didn’t want to get involved. As a contractor myself, I understand how busy things can get. However, communication and follow-through are basic professional standards. Based on my experience, the responsiveness and accountability were extremely disappointing. I can’t speak to their workmanship — but I can speak to their lack of follow-up. If communication matters to you, this may not be the company for you.

I am so pleased with the customer service and swap out installation provided by Koontz! Matt, the Service Manager visited my home and assessed my needs. He gave me an estimate that was hard to beat, and he explained the process of installing a more efficient unit, the benefits, and warranties. I had estimates from two other companies, but Koontz's professionalism, including thorough explanations of all questions asked really made it easy to make my choice. Brenda and Preston were phenomenal in every way, especially politeness, explanations and working hard to make things just perfect! Matt, Brenda, and Preston are all assets to the Koontz family! A highly recommend this company.

Had a 2 system full replacement. Fair price, up front, no cheesy sales tactics. 2 install team showed up on time, professional, polite, cleaned their workspace, went through the system functions. Very please with overall experience. Would definitely recommend.

Would give more stars if I could. Haven’t had a/c in my house in months and no quotes for replacement were looking good until Matt showed up. Had a 26 year old gas system and everyone else that gave an estimate to replace it with electric was intimidated and the price showed. It was a regular day at the park for these guys. Matt is super knowledgeable and honest and the team who did the install was professional and efficient. Anytime I had a question I would get an answer quickly and the scheduling for set up was a breeze. Would recommend this company 1000x over
