Hufft Chimney Services

Ben Hufft came out and did a wonderful job ridding us of caked creosote and other buildup, cleaned and treated the glass, repaired our chimney cap, and even recommended chemicals to make his visits less frequent. The bill was quite reasonable and his responsiveness was impressive.

Hired them to clean our chimney several years ago as we have a wood burner as a supplemental heat source in addition to propane. They never completed the cleaning as we were told that our chimney needed some repairs and they gave us an estimate of well over $1,000 for what appeared to be a fairly simple repair job. They did NOT do a full cleaning, yet they still charged is full price. We then had our regular carpenter do the repair and finish the cleaning. It only took him a couple hours to do the repair and he also finished the cleaning that Huft had started. The cost for him to make the repair and finish the cleaning was only a small fraction of what Huft said they would need to do the repairs. Will never use Huft again nor can we recommend that anyone else ever use them. Poor service and way overpriced.

Not only is this a family owned business but one of the best customer service business I’ve seen. I had him come out to check out a stove I already had in the house that wasn’t working properly on a cold day. His work was beyond what I was expecting. I highly recommend this company for anyone looking for new or existing fireplaces.
