Foundations First Idaho

Foundation issues can be very scary especially if we don't know what were looking at or how costly it can be to fix. Foundations First Idaho was absolutely awesome to work with! They made sure we felt safe in our home during the whole process from the time they came out to estimate the project to finish. Their work was exceptional and fairly quicker than we had anticipated. Not to mention they weren't the cheapest option but they weren't outrageously priced either. The quality was definitely worth the money spent. Will be recommending.

Matt Shell was really good to work with. He didn't try to sell me on a big fancy sump-pump encapsulation system. Instead he helped identify the problems around the OUTSIDE of my house that were allowing water to get into my crawlspace. Then we worked to find the solutions that best fit the problems. For me, this meant having the team installing two french drains in my flower beds. Matt was very flexible and installed clean out access when I expressed concern on the drain's maintenance. The team also stitched cracks I had in my foundation and found a problem with a slipping joist that they were able to reinforce with a steel post before it became a bigger problem. Matt also provided other water mitigation advice that I was able to act on. He proposed additional gutters and suggested that I consult with a sprinkler specialist to get some heads with more efficient and less flow rate. All of these fixes combined have led to a completely dry crawlspace. All of the places I used to see water after a rain storm are now bone dry. I am very glad that with the help of Foundations First, I was able to treat the root cause of the problems and not just treat the symptoms!
