This is a mixed review, more of an FYI. ย First off, I have no issue with Flynn or the people I've dealt with. They've been professional and do their job. ย My advice is just to be prepared for the added expense. I had a well installed for an irrigation system on a 3 acre lot. The plan was for this to be our forever home, and after the first year, considering the costs to irrigate with city water, the math made sense to put in the well. Despite the tens of thousands of dollars for the initial installation, the hope was that over the long haul, this would work out. It would take years, but the annual savings would offsetย the initial cost. I know parts don't last forever, but this is forย an irrigationย system, and is not used year round, so it's not a lot of wear and tear. I did get about 5 seasons of use, but had multiple issues and had to replace a control box. No mention was made of whether or not the box could be repaired by a part or something.ย  It was a fullย replacement. Naturally, this is all out ofย warranty. The service calls are not cheap, and it's thousands of dollars to replace control boxes and/or pumps. This throws a big wrench into the plan that those initial costs would eventually be offset. Maybe I'm just unlucky, and this isn't the norm. I'm alsoย pessimistic likeย many otherย things nowadays, these parts are not designed to last. I felt like I should put this out there for anyone who might be considering putting a well in because if things go south, the expenses are significant.

Top notch service. I called them when my well stopped working, I had no idea what the problem was. They were easy to schedule, arrived on time, and corrected the issue promptly and at a reasonable fee. Tech was named Lance, he was knowledgeable and professional.

For the second time in the last 5 years, we had a deep-well failure that occurred on a weekend. The first time was a lightning strike on our home, which trailed back to the well. The second failure was a (22 year old) pump failure. Each time, they came out within hours of my first call and patched our well to get us through the weekend and scheduled a final repair on the following Monday morning. The repairmen that showed up each time were very courteous and took time to explain what they found and made reasonable options on repairs. When the repairman arrived, they had all of the parts needed in the truck. They worked fast and told us at the end of each repair job what to do and what to expect from the well (by pass the water softener and no laundry for the next 24 hours, ect). I didn't get quotes nor have worked with other drilling companies, but based on the last two experiences, I 'd still call Flynn Drilling the next time the deep well fails.
