American Leak Detection of Utah

Their team came out and spent over 90 minutes trying to detect our main line leak. They were courteous and on time. They then marked the area where they figured the leak was. We then had two different Plumbing companies give us bids on the work. After hiring one of the plumbers, they dug at the marked spot. They dug well beyond the marked area and deeper than the line would be. No water, none. Now, you pay American Leak Detection of Utah when they mark your spot, and they will return for free if they've missed and try again. The issue with that is, you now owe the plumber for the hole he dug in the wrong area. If ALD returns for a second attempt and they miss again, you have now spent the money to fix the repair and nothing has been fixed. We are now at the point that it will cost almost the same as just putting in a whole new main line. Actually it would have been cheaper to not hire ALD and just have the main line put in, we would have saved over $800. I guess live and learn.

I hired American Leak detection to come out and find a leak that the water company said we had. We had already had multiple plumbers come out and all of them said they would have to dig a massive holes from one end of the yard to the other in order to properly find the leak. Jake from American Leak came out and did a very thorough and detailed investigation. He was able to find the leak even though our pipes were not metal. This will save us thousands since there isn't any guess work. They are able to give you a 1-2 foot range and they guarantee the work they do for 30 days. It’s really sad we had almost 10 Plumbers come out and bid for the work and only one mentioned using a leak detection company. You will save yourself a huge headache and a lot of money by using this company. Jake was so amazing and really professional.

I have used American Leak Detection twice now. Jake has taken great care of us both times, and provided amazing and professional service. They are the company you never want to call, but I wouldn’t call any other company if you need to find a challenging leak.

When my swimming pool started losing water I wasn’t sure where to turn. Contacted several companies and ALD seemed exactly what I was looking for. Turned out it wasn’t a line leak (which I was sure it was) but instead it was my filter gasket loosing water through the backwash. He tested the lines just to make sure and they were good- Phew!
