Frequently asked questions

Does keeping the AC at 72 save money?
Setting the AC at 72 degrees provides comfort but may not always save money. Higher thermostat settings combined with regular maintenance and clean filters typically reduce energy bills. Efficient system operation matters more than a single set point.
Why do Raleigh homeowners trust All American for AC services?
Raleigh homeowners trust All American Heating, Air & Plumbing as a locally owned company with decades of experience, certified technicians, reliable service, clear communication, and solutions tailored to each home's HVAC needs.
How long does AC repair usually take?
Most AC repair service calls can be completed the same day depending on the issue and parts availability. Technicians work efficiently while ensuring repairs are done correctly.
Can AC problems affect airflow and ductwork?
Yes. Issues like clogged air ducts, damaged ductwork, or restricted airflow can reduce cooling performance and strain the system. These problems are often identified during repair visits.
What’s the difference between AC maintenance and repair?
AC maintenance is preventative care to keep the system running efficiently, while repair addresses specific problems after a system has failed or stopped working.

We recently moved in to our new home. In need to have a quality HVAC company, we searched the internet and found All American. They scheduled us in with no problem, kept us informed as to when a technician would show up. Right on time, Antonio checked out our system and we signed an annual service agreement on the spot. System checks out. Thanks for the quality service.

All American Air has installed our original HVAC in our house and my son’s house over 21 years ago and has maintained these systems since. They recently installed 3 HVACs in my house. The new systems were speced based on our needs and were professionally installed. I was pleased with the overall HVAC price and installation cost. The breakers were also checked for appropriate amps. The area were cleaned to their originals. I highly recommend this business.

I have used All American for our HVAC needs for the past 15 years. I have generally been very happy with their service. When it comes to installation of new units, they do excellent work. I would give them 5 stars for that. Their quality drops a bit on the maintenance service side of things. These techs tend to be less experienced and knowledgeable, but still pretty good. They get the job done but have made a few mistakes over the years (which they always came back to correct, I'll add). I expect that's probably true of most HVAC contractors, and we have overall been very happy with the service. When we have had problems with our units, they have been very good at coming out promptly and make a diligent effort at resolving the problem. Overall a very high quality outfit.
