A-1 Paving

These guys rock...we were on a beach vacation in Middletown and A1 was redoing the driveway for the property next door (we were also renting our vacation home from these folks). My wife and son (who loves trucks of all kinds) were onlooking when the guys at A1 were kind enough to invite my son to come and check out the paver, dump truck, roller and all the other equipment they were using. Honestly, my son was probably out there for 2 hours just hanging out with the guys and "working" with them. The icing on the cake was the t-shirt they dropped off to the property owners who we rented our vacation home from (which they promptly shipped to us in the mail for my son). We always do a lot of cool things on vacation but spending time on the job with the A1 guys certainly was at the top of the list for my son. Can't thank you all enough for the time you spent with him and the kindness and thoughtfulness you extended to our family that day. The driveway came out great, too!

The A1 crew arrived on time and got right to work. My driveway was challenging as it is long and steep. The crew made it look easy. They had told me to expect it to take 2 days but stayed a little late and finished in one, which was extremely appreciated as it is quite an inconvenience to not have access to your home. The crew worked well together they all knew what needed to be done and each had their responsibilities and were diligent about seeing that the right thing got done at the right time, and they don't take shortcuts. I didn't recognize that anyone was supervising, I am sure there was but I didn't see the need for any of the crew to be directed, they all knew their jobs. The heavy machine operators I would describe as more artist than operator, they are good. Overall, the professionalism, courtesy, integrity and competence of the crew was impressive to watch and was exactly what you would hope for from a contractor performing a major improvement to your home. I have heard horror stories from people who have used other local paving companies. If you want it done right and on time, A1 Paving is as good as you can get.
