Frequently Asked Questions

What are the solutions for drainage issues?

TownSide Plumbing Drainage issues can lead to water pooling and damage. To address this, ensure that gutters and downspouts are clear of debris. Consider installing a French drain to redirect water away from your home. Regularly inspect your yard for low spots that may need to be filled.

How do I clean my shower drain?

TownSide Plumbing To clean your shower drain, start by removing the drain cover. Use a mixture of baking soda and vinegar to break down soap scum and hair buildup. After letting it sit for a while, flush the drain with hot water. For stubborn clogs, a plumber's snake may be necessary.

What should I do if I smell sewer gas in my home?

TownSide Plumbing If you detect a sewer gas smell in your home, it could indicate a problem with your plumbing. First, check for dry traps in sinks or floor drains; adding water can often resolve the issue. If the smell persists, inspect your plumbing for leaks or consult a plumber to check for venting issues.

What are the solutions for a clogged drain?

TownSide Plumbing A clogged drain can be a nuisance, but there are several effective solutions. Start by using a plunger to dislodge the blockage. If that doesn't work, try a mixture of baking soda and vinegar, which can help break down debris. For more stubborn clogs, a plumber's snake can be used to reach deeper blockages.

What plumbing tools should I have at home?

TownSide Plumbing Having the right tools can make plumbing repairs easier. Essential tools include a pipe wrench, adjustable wrench, plunger, and a plumber's snake. A tape measure and a utility knife are also useful for various tasks.

I highly recommend Townside and their technician Chase R for any repairs or installations, we actually had both with a low water pressure issue and an installation of a hot water pump. Chase was very knowledgeable, efficient, and professional. Each time I spoke with someone on the phone, they were very nice (especially Christy, she was wonderful). Townside is the best as far as staying updated on code laws and as well as prices. Check them out and request Chase for your plumber :) He is fantastic!!!!

We have enjoyed working with your company—you kept us in the loop at all times and were available within a reasonable time frame. Our technician was friendly, made us feel comfortable, and completed the installation work in a timely manner—we will definitely use your company and the same technician again. Thanks Townside & Chase!

I used this company to install a new hot water heater and take away the old one. Took about 2 hours. Mike and his assistant, Tyler, were very courteous and professional, answering all my questions and working efficiently. I would recommend this company for any plumbing projects.

Maureen was a dear and handled my hot water heater problem in record time! Reese and Shakis got the heater and came to install it. They were so quick and efficient Reese even took the time to make sure I knew where my water shutoff valves were in my house. Super nice folks and a great job! Cost was better than any other company I called! Highly recommend!
