An ADSL connection of PTCL in Askari 11 Lahore which I got converted to VDSL in 2017, led to serious violation of consumer protection laws and laws related to malpractice and corruption and this is based on the billing which was not according to the monthly charges reflected on the website or quotation solicited and provided though their official number 1218. my CNIC and cellular number was kept "blacklisted" even though I sent an email disputing the Billi of over PKR 9000 one month and PKR 11000 another for 20mbps VDSL connection against a quotation of PKR 3,500 per month which was said will be charged on the recorded line whee I sent the request for conversion of the ADSL to VDSL. I have now been requesting a new connection in rawalpindi to ensure they have cleared my name and rerpreated requests have been responded with "not feasible" declaration of the request and then a new request generated repeatedly which gives them more time, for the number of hours or days that a request has to be concluded within, which keeps getting extended. The official of the exchange, a Mr. Rameex without introducing himself messaging me from his unknown number sent a WhatsApp messaged asking for my CNIC and utility bills, saying the connection is not possible otherwisel. It appears to he yet again some senior PTCL official who wants a heft bribe to clear my name. I hope Internet Service Providers are not becoming a monopoly at the back end through collusion to create an atmosphere of monopolistic competition and extort from their customers. The financial implication of outstanding amount which I had added to my Netbanking is unknown to me and could be serious. Who is going to be responsible for the maligned statuis of my name unnecessarily while I Was a student and am very unhappy about the state of affairs in this country about laws and rules and regulations being followed when our law enforcement agencies are infamous already for their lack of respect as well and their lack of reliability as recourse for the people who pay taxes for the salaries these individuals have been getting, including PTCL, as far as it remained or remains a state owned institution. This is inclusive of the military which should become the guardian of consumer protection, for economic development and affluence is what nations aspire for, and such corrupt practices then is the only real war left for developing nations for which people suffer in them silently, poverty is prevalent (for corruption of then pervades the private sector as well. I want to however not save the nation of be the next Jinnah, but instead first hope PTCL can at least have the decency and courtesy of not becoming extortionist so blatantly violating laws, and also the rights of a customer who has been using their services since he can recall a telephone line has been available. Since 2017 it has been an endless campaign possibly to save one manager or some official who made a mistake, to the end of ruining the financial and otherwise reputation of a law abiding responsible citizen, which apparently you cannot be in thanks to businesses like PTCL. I have the desire to take this organization to the court of law and seek compensation, but the legal system is also a challenge that prevents that recourse from being a good reformation and discouragement t of such practices. PTCL is in serious violation of the law, rules and regulations! EXTORTIONIST!

Corporate connection taken. Hefty amount given every month as bills. But their support is worst. Our internet connection is down from last 32 hours and they are not even registering a complaint saying there is work going on. Is this the way you treat your business clients. 32 hours downtime for a company of this size.
