⚠️ Safety Awareness Post – Please Read Carefully! ⚠️ Hi everyone, I’m sharing this post as an important awareness message for anyone planning to visit Khanpur Dam in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, especially those considering water sports and adventure activities there. Recently, my family and I visited Khanpur Dam, where several water activities were available, including jet skiing, speed boating, parasailing (mislabeled as "parceling" by the locals), and sofa tubing. We decided to try parasailing — an activity where a person is lifted into the air using a parachute while being pulled by a speedboat. However, what was supposed to be a fun experience turned into a terrifying one. As my family member was parasailing and had reached the middle of the dam, the boat towing him suddenly stopped. Because of the abrupt stop, the person began descending uncontrollably and ended up crashing into the water, with the parachute landing on top of him — completely covering his face and body. Fortunately, he knew how to swim and was able to free himself from under the parachute. Had he not been a swimmer, this incident could have ended in tragedy. Despite our panic and calls for help, it took the rescue team more than 5 minutes to dispatch an emergency boat and reach him. The behavior and response of the staff were shockingly unprofessional and apathetic. They seemed poorly trained, disorganized, and ill-prepared for emergencies. There were no immediate safety protocols followed, and no life guards actively monitoring the activity area. 🚨 Please take this as a serious warning. If you’re planning to participate in any water sports at Khanpur Dam or similar spots, make sure the operators are experienced, the equipment is in good condition, and that proper safety measures are clearly in place. Stay safe, be cautious, and share this message with others to help prevent similar incidents. Now here's the most disturbing part: When we confronted the operators and staff their response was shockingly casual. It was as if nothing had happened. They shrugged it off saying things like: 👉 “Yeh toh roz ka hota hai.” 👉 Everyone there — the staff and even some other operators — remained completely unfazed, as if such near-drowning incidents were just normal routine. Had an amazing time here parasailing! The views were stunning and the whole experience was full of fun. Big shoutout to Asad Bhai for being really nice and making it all so memorable and credit to the staff for being professional and cooperative.

I had a very good experience with them today on 27th September 2025. Mr. Asad is a very nice guy: soft spoken and prompt to reply to your queries. I contacted him yesterday and asked about rates and location etc. He fully guided me about rates and location as well as discounts. He contacted me on my way and was there to receive us on Orange Resort parking. All the discounts that he promised were given. The parasailing experience was also very good. They took us to the island on a boat with no additional cost. The discounted rate was Rs. 3500 per person. We also enjoyed the 1.3km long Zipline in the Orange Resort. It was also worth visiting with lift to the top of tower. The Orange Resort is a lush green area with many facilities like outdoor sitting, Zipline, water slide and swimming pool, archery, bowling etc. I didn't try their food so can't comment about that. All in all worth visiting and very good behavior of Mr. Asad. Recommend from my side.

Khanpur Dam is a beautiful spot with turquoise waters surrounded by hills. Perfect for boating, picnics, and adventure sports like jet skiing, it’s a refreshing escape from city life. 💦🏞️✨
