HTC Carolina Forest

I've been a customer of Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC) for over a 6 month now, and overall, I'm impressed with their service quality. The advertised speeds match 100% with what's stated in the contract—I'm consistently getting around 500+ Mbps download and upload, with super low ping (under 5 ms) and zero jitter or packet loss. It's rock-solid stable, with no interruptions, outages, or downtime whatsoever, which has made working from home and streaming a breeze. That said, their pricing is only competitive during the first year. After that, the rates jump significantly, and even with this high level of performance and reliability, it might push you to look at alternatives to keep costs in check. Compared to my other provider, Spectrum, HTC is hands down better and more stable. I've never had to contact their customer support even once because everything just works flawlessly—no headaches at all. If you're in the area and value reliability over long-term affordability, I'd recommend giving them a try, but keep an eye on those post-introductory rates.

I was getting ready to move to Florida, and the HTC representative was extremely helpful in helping me close out my account. Danielle was extremely knowledgeable and helped me thru the process.

I only have one device running and it lags and skips constantly. Tried to call about service maintenence and was never followed up with. Unfortunatly this is the only service in my area...HTC is aware this is our only internet choice. They know we need internet and will pay for junk. No other options in the area. This is such a gimmick/sca.. They offer a faster internet, of course, but the cheaper package should be enough to smoothly run one device. I'm preparing myself for the sales pitch..."we offer faster options". I honestly don't think the have network capacity to handle this area.

I called in last week for my services to be transferred to my new address. I was told that construction would be laying the wires for my installation this week. I called today to follow up on the situation and I was told that the rep that I spoke with last week never submitted the work order for my installation!!! I’m am pissed right now because I work from home and they’re making it seem as if I’m bothering them by calling in to inquire about the installation and to see if they can rush this work order since their rep flat out lied to me last week and said that she submitted the order even though she didn’t!!! They act as if they don’t care!!! So here I am sitting here trying to figure out how I will be able to work next week WITHOUT INTERNET!!! PLEASE HIRE AND TRAIN YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS SO THAT THEY WILL KNOW HOW TO DO THEIR JOB’S!!!

Was having major difficulty with my internet connectivity it was horrible. For 8 months before it was excellent. After having a technician come out . daquan ascertained best possible thing we could do was reposition the pod it may not have been placed close enough to the main router. Problem fixed ! great quality ! tremendous speeds ! HTC has great technicians. Thank you so much
