I've had several opportunities to go to Arlington Virginia Computer Repair for assistance -- guided there by online reviews like this one. The first time was to set-up a new desktop PC with very large set of Outlook emails and contacts that had to be transferred. This was an old version of Outlook that wasn't really too amenable to transfer. Alex at Arlington Virginia Computer Repair understood my concerns and within a tight timeframe had the new computer up-and-running with the old Outlook file. Thereafter, I went back to him to do some web site work. He was excellent at asking questions to draw out important considerations and in staying in contact as he worked through the development. An excellent site was delivered on-time and at a very reasonable cost. In another area, I have also set-up a remote support agreement -- again he met the requirements I outlined and added his thorough understanding of IT services. Bottom line: From my experiences, I recommend Alex and Arlington Virginia Computer Repair. (He's also a really nice guy, who cares for people!)

Wonderful experience overall! Their at-home office space is easy to find with a nice waiting area and overall nice atmosphere. Very professional business. I had someone sit on my laptop aggressively (long story) and my LCD screen completely shattered. The computer worked fine, just needed a screen repair. Alex sat me down for a consult, asking me not only about the screen but if there were any other issues with my computer he might be able to help with. Very thorough and much appreciated! Anyway, they fixed my screen in 3-4 business days without any trouble and now my laptop is as good as new. I highly recommend this place, not only because it is a small, family-owned and operated business (support local businesses!) but because the prices are very reasonable and the overall experience was 100% professional and pleasant. I have turned to Alex for all of my computer-related needs for years and have never been disappointed. He has custom built both a laptop and a desktop for me, with both custom jobs tuned to hardware/software needs required for my personal/professional preferences and requirements. Both were completed and ready for my pickup before the estimated times given and have served me well ever since. He has helped me set up an external hard-drive to backup all of my data, which has proved vital. In addition, when my sister's data was lost while working on her dissertation, Alex was able to help her recover ALL of it, in addition to the rest of her personal data. This is the first time I have ever taken a laptop for repair. Alex was great. First I called a couple places I found online to see who seemed like they would be able to help me the best. After reading the reviews online I called Alex 5 minutes later and made an appointment for the evening of the very next day. I had a data recovery and repair done and by Tuesday early afternoon it was ready for pickup. Great turn around and I'm so happy I have my laptop back. He also gave great tips for up keeping my macbook.
