In 2022, this company installed a gas line and switched our water heater from electric to gas. Shortly after, I smelled gas and called them. They checked but said there was no leak. Still, the smell persisted, our gas bill soared to $400, and my 4-year-old repeatedly got sick with respiratory issues. We felt lethargic for months, unsure why—until one night, all our fire alarms went off. The fire department found a gas leak causing dangerous carbon monoxide buildup, explaining our symptoms. We had to replace the furnace, and the installers finally fixed the leak. They’ve come out multiple times for water heater repairs since then. I kept calling because I thought I had no choice. But recently, when they missed a scheduled appointment, I hired someone else who arrived within 30 minutes. I’m done with them and will be taking further action. Carla at the front desk was helpful, but poor service that risks homeowners’ safety is unacceptable. Avoid using this company.

We've been using Dutch Heating for the last 8 years. Every time we come up with a new project, Matt Miller has been promptly available to come out and talk through the work to be done. Over the years, we have had things such as: a water heater, gas dryer, and this most recent year, a pool heater with upgraded gas service and additional manifolds. Each time I've met with Matt, he always guides us through the process of deciding what is the safest and most cost-effective way to accomplish the project. Anytime I've had an interaction with any Dutch Heating representatives, they have always been courteous and respectful.

I am rather difficult to impress, so getting a 5 star review from me is difficult. I don't usually leave reviews unless I'm unhappy. Dutch heating has been nothing but pleasant since the beginning. When we first moved into our home, we called a different heating company out who attempted to bully me into signing a contract to install mini splits. I involved my neighbor to throw the other company out, it was that bad. My next call was to Dutch. The tech who showed up was incredible. He didn't look like a business man, unlike the first guy. He looked like a repair tech. I wasn't sure what I was looking at, so he pulled up a bucket for me to sit on and explained what he was looking at in non-scary words. He cleaned and inspected our old style furnace and didn't try to sell me something. He came in, did the job, and left. We have Dutch out a few times a year for maintenance or other issues. They always go above and beyond. When our pipes burst, i left them in my home to work so I could run to the hardware store without a second thought. They were just that nice! The techs always do more than the job actually requires, like helping add insulation or pulling up a bucket seat and explaining why things work. My most recent tech was bleeding air bubbles from my radiators (?). I'm not actually sure what the part is called. He explained it in such a way that it actually made sense. The prices are fair. The guys have a "rough around the edges" look to them, but I cannot recommend them more. If you want the job done right, on time, and under budget, call Dutch.

We have worked with Dutch Heating on 3 different projects in our historic 1863 log home. On 2 of the projects, we requested specific installation details, and on 1 of them, custom design work from their sheet metal shop was required. We are not the easiest customers to impress, but with all 3 Dutch projects , we were extremely pleased with the results. Matt , the applications engineer, who came out to measure and design the systems, and the layout, was amazing to work with!! While working in collaboration with Corey A. Trostle Carpentry, no matter how difficult our requests were, they always found a way to give us the exact detailed result we had envisioned. Tom and Mason, who installed our systems also went out of their way to accommodate all our requests. Darryl, who custom made the floor heating system with Matt, fabricated exactly what was needed to give us the perfectly completed look we had hoped for. I would absolutely recommend Dutch to take care of all your HVAC needs.
