Called and technician came out with a new part for our broken washing machine to fix the same day. The technician was courteous and had the issue resolved within an hour. Great company for same day service.

I manage over 40 rental units, so I’m always looking for reliable, long-term partners for repairs. Unfortunately, this company will not be one of them. They started off strong with same-day availability, but everything went downhill from there. While I was driving on the highway and unable to check messages, they sent multiple texts and then called to say they required the diagnostic fee before the tech could even enter the property. Why they didn’t take a card at the time of booking or request payment then is beyond me. I offered to provide payment over the phone, but was told it had to be done through a texted payment link—unless I wanted to pay an extra $30 for them to manually enter it. They actually told me to pull over and pay or they would leave, stating they had “already been waiting five minutes.” They couldn’t wait the ten minutes it would take me to reach my destination safely. After diagnosing the issue, I was told parts needed to be ordered and the repair would be done Wednesday. Then I got a message Monday saying they had to buy parts elsewhere and it would be Friday instead—fine, delays happen. But on Wednesday evening they went to my tenants’ home without notifying me or the tenants in advance. Thankfully the tenants happened to be there to let them in. They invoiced me at 7:30 PM (I leave the office at 5, so I didn’t see it until the next morning), yet I received multiple texts at 8:30 AM pushing for payment. I simply wanted to confirm with my tenants that everything was functioning properly. For full transparency the company did send a video of the washer working but I always check with the tenants as well. Instead of giving me a moment to follow up, they threatened a late fee if I didn’t pay by noon. The level of rudeness, inflexibility, and unnecessary pressure throughout this entire process was unacceptable. I will never use this company again. I have a receipt showing I paid it at 11:22 am, 16 hours later, but received one final threatening text at 12:55 pm after it had already been paid well over an hour prior. "So you decided not to pay your bill before the late charge is applied. Keep in mind, late charge is $35 initially and then $15 per day until settled. I want you to be fully aware. I am going to give you until 1:00 pm to make payment without late charges. If you fail to pay, we will have no choice to file a claim against your name in magistrates court and will do so by tomorrow". Mind you this is all over $305. Service was performed and invoiced at 7:30 pm on 11/19, I paid it 11/20 at 11:22 am.

Charleston Appliances and Repairs have been professional and kind when fixing my dryer. Communication was clear, and the repairman allowed me to watch as he completed the repairs so I would know how to take the dryer apart in the future. I highly recommend them for any appliance repairs. I plan to use them for any future appliance issues.

The repairman was on time and did a great job. He found the necessary part quickly and came out next day. Highly recommend ; would use again.
