Cell Surgeon - Cell Phone Repairs

This place is great! I have been going to Cell surgeon for years and have been to all three of their locations, the original in Camden, the temporary one in Dover while they were getting their new store ready, and now their current location on Dupont highway in Dover. They are very helpful and knowledgeable and they do not overcharge. In fact they are very reasonable with their prices. I drive 45 minutes to get to this store, rather than go to the phone repair store that is right in my own town.

Just got a new iPhone. And my Aunt got her camera fixed that’s been broken for over a year. All for a very great price. Best price around. Even gave me a phone case for free. And screen protectors. I love this place. Great service. Highly recommend. 10/10. Will be returning. Amazing people there. I really do love this place and have so many good things to say about it.

Disappointed by my experience. I had an old but working iPad with a cracked screen that I wanted replaced to avoid buying a new one at full price. I went to Cell Surgeon and got a quote and a time estimate; they could order the screen necessary for the repair and it would arrive the next day, after which they would call me to drop off my iPad. It in fact took them two or three days to call me. I brought in my iPad. They said the repair itself would take an hour and they would call me when it was done but that I could pick it up at any point that day. I dropped it off in the morning so I was expecting a call around midday. At 5 or 6PM that day I still hadn’t heard back so I called them and had a very confusing call with someone from which I gathered there was an issue with a cord on the screen they had ordered and a new order had to be put in that would arrive the next day and I could pick my iPad back up because “it was still working” or leave it there overnight. I decided to leave it there. They did not call me the next day so I called them. The person I spoke to said they had to check something and would call me back in 20 minutes. They did not call me back. At this point I was thinking there was a 50/50 chance they had broken my iPad and I had to prepare myself to buy a new one. Why else would this process be taking so long and the shop be so uncommunicative? I decided to go in person the next day because then they’d have to tell me what was going on with the repair. That next morning however I got a text that the repair was done which was great news. That said, when I went to pick it up I realized the actual work was very sloppily done. There was glue residue intermittently around the entire edge of the screen and fluff in one of the corners. Worst of all was the home button was loose and lopsided. I pointed out this last bit to the person working there and he said they had to replace it. I don’t know how that justifies the lopsidedness. But at that point I just wanted to be done with it so I paid and left. But their team clearly has communication issues and don’t pay attention to detail in their work. The home button is used many times in any given session of iPad use and it bugs me every time. I would not recommend taking your electronic devices to this repair store. Three stars because the screen was repaired but the process was long and frustrating.
