We were fortunate to find Carolina Ductmasters after being quoted a ridiculous amount from an HVAC company. Carolina Ductmasters gave us a no-nonsense quote over the phone which didn't increase upon arrival (I've read about a lot of this with other companies.) They were very friendly and did a great job cleaning our ductwork at an affordable price. They pointed out mold in our upstairs unit (we already knew this was an issue) and applied a treatment during the same visit at an affordable price; this did not in any way come across as an upsell or scare tactic. They were honest and didn't in any way try to push this, and we were happy to move forward and glad we did. They finished the job timely but not rushed, and took care in cleanup. The ducts/returns look amazing and we're already breathing better.

We had set up very easily an appointment for Carolina Ductmasters to clean out my dryer vent. We had let them know that the vent exited through a very steep portion of the roof. We have had other companies decline to take the job due to the steepness of the roof. This company sent Bryce out to see if it was possible to do and he arrived on time for the appointment. After looking at the pitch of the roof he set up the equipment and said let's try it. To our amazement he managed to get on the roof and get to the vent where he used a tool and was able to clean out over 10 years of lint buildup. Then afterwards he also took the time to clean off the roof from an abundance of lint with a blower. He then came inside and did the usually cleaning of the vent attached to the dryer. Bryce was very professional and efficient at completing his job. I would highly recommend Carolina Ductmasters and Bryce. I know they also perform other services and I'm sure they would do just as good a job.

This is a long review because I want people to truly understand why. I would NOT recommend Carolina Ductmasters. They don't care about your safety and will not properly inspect your fireplace. You will put your family and investment in danger if you hire them. They are nice on the phone, but they are not willing to hold themselves accountable for their dangerous practices/mistakes. They were recommended from Angi and I hired them in spring 2022 for an in depth inspection due to planned home purchase. I began using the fireplace in winter 2023. I burned about 1/4 of half a cord of hardwood during that time and noticed smoke stains developing at the ceiling seam from behind the fireplace wall... Indicating an issue. After months (Feb-June 2024) of trying to get a resolve from their manager Robert and GM Marshall Adams on why this issue wasn't caught or mentioned for my initial safety inspection, I was basically brushed off. They were no shows for scheduled investigations and then tried coming to my home unscheduled on a Saturday. I was forced to send them away because I was leaving and they didn't schedule a date/time. To date the GM tells me they are all booked up and I would have to wait until they are free. But yet they seemed to have open schedules whenever they wanted me to pay for a yearly inspection. I had to hire a different company to inspect my fireplace and they immediately found the safety hazard, showed me, and told me the fireplace is not safe and I'm lucky my house didn't catch fire. If you value your lives, choose a different company to properly inspect your fireplace.
