Betawi Indonesian Cuisine (TTDI)

Looking for authentic Indonesian food? Try Betawi. We went around 9 PM, and tables are still pretty full, with the crowd happily enjoying the food & environment. Greeted by attentive & friendly staff when I entered. Menu served with lots of unknown names on the menu, but don't worry, the waiter will patiently explain everything on it, even shared what to order to enhance the overall meal experience. Price is slightly on the high side, yet fully justifiable by the ambience, service and especially food quality. No regret coming to try out this restaurant, will come back to checkout the rest of the menu.

Betawi’s food is flavourful! Had a birthday lunch here and what we ordered was; Ikan Bakar Honje, Gulai Lemak Pucuk Pakis, Terong Cabe Ijo, Ayam Bakar Taliwang and Bebek Asap Sere Tabia. Great pairing I’d say. Of all the drinks we ordered, I think the one stands out the most was Soda Semangka (Watermelon Soda). Do give Betawi a go! As my grandpa said — “This is a different ‘genre’” lol.

The food is very flavourful. Love the Nasi bakar betawi spicy. The tauhu telur is good too but should pair with nasi putih better Coz it's very flavourful. Service is very attentive as well. Will come again for sure to try thier others menu

Amazing Indonesian food! We had bebek, pucuk paku, terung, kroket bebek, and oxtail soup. Bebek and terung was a bit oily, but still delicious. Overall, food here was on the pricier side, however portions were generous and taste was 10/10 so it is worth it of you want to have yummy Indonesian food with family or friends.

Betawi Indonesian Cuisine in Taman Tun Dr. Ismail offers a truly authentic and delightful culinary journey. Our meal began with the spectacular Iga Bakar Nasi Baku, where the incredibly tender, flavorful beef beautifully seeped into the steamed rice beneath it. The Gulai Lemak Pucuk Pali featured tender fern shoots that soaked up the rich, creamy coconut sauce perfectly. The Tahu Telur, a huge block of tofu with deep fried eggs sitting a pool of sweet peanut sauce, was executed flawlessly. A true standout was the sambal platter, presenting six distinct and surprising flavors that elevated every bite. With its nice, cozy decor and reasonable prices, Betawi is a must-visit for anyone seeking a genuine taste of Indonesia in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
