Donโt call this company!!! Bad, rude, bad and expensiveโฆthey will robbed you blindโฆnever again with this company they charged $107. For diagnostics, no labor just diagnostics the guy who came only took two screws out and told me he needed to bring someone else to take the unit out but it would cost me $60. Per 15m not an hour but for every 15 minutes they of labor. He didnโt even finished the diagnostics and charged me all that cashโฆthis guys are swindlers.
First I have to say that both techs who came out were extremely nice and did try their best to repair the light in our freezer. It seemed that they were in touch with the factory tech department, ordered parts, then needed other parts, then needed to install all the parts together. After 4 or 5 visits, the owner came out and again was extremely professional but could not fix it. He said he would talk with tech again and get back to me. After 6 weeks, I called. The receptionist said the parts were on order. I asked her after 6 weeks, when would she expected them in. She yelled at me!! I told her I was a customer and shouldn't be yelled at -- she said she was cancelling the order and I should go somewhere else! Looking at other reviews, I am not the first to be yelled at by the receptionist! Whatever happened to "I'll reach out to the company and get back to you?"
I've used this small family-owned business for years. They're responsive and price their work fairly. After calling them on a Sunday night and leaving a voicemail about a failing refrigerator, one of their repairmen was at my home by 1 pm the next day. Larry quickly diagnosed problems I was having with both the refrigerator and a dryer, and by the end of the day I received fair estimates for both repairs. These guys saved me from wasting thousands of dollars in appliance replacement costs. I hope to find another company like them when I sell and move to another state.
I contacted All Appliance Repair in December 2023 to repair our dryer, which was not working. They came to evaluate the dryer and after just a few minutes (and a $100 charge) the repairman (Mike) informed my wife that we needed 4 new knobs, and indicated that they would order them from GE, and that we would need to pick them up from their shop to avoid an additional charge (although Iโm still not sure why they could not have the knobs sent directly to our house). They Indicated to my wife (who was home at the time of the service, but does have some processing issues because of her history of brain cancer) that the cost would be $187.88 for the 4 knobs, and collected immediate payment. When I heard of the cost, I thought it seemed truly ridiculous for 4 PLASTIC knobs and immediately went online and found the exact same compatible knobs for just $14 on Amazon. I ordered the knobs and received them and they worked fine. I called All Appliance and asked them to return the knobs and issue me a refund, which they refused to do, insisting that all purchases were โfinalโ. Seriously? It would cost them nothing to provide reasonable customer service but instead, I got a rude, inconsiderate, and nasty receptionist, who was completely non-accommodating. When I asked to speak with the owner, I was told he was not in, but they passed me onto the service man who performed the service (Mike), who was equally rude, and made a nasty and insensitive comment about my wifeโs brain cancer, and then hung up on me. I called back and asked to have the owner to call me back when he got inโฆand who did ultimately call me back the following day. He (Larry) was a bit more accommodating, agreeing to return the GE knobs and issue me a refund, but only after a 30% restocking fee (Seriously?) and $30 fee to FedEx the knobs back to GE. He likely agreed to this, only because All Appliance clearly made more money ($) on the restocking fee than they wouldโve on the markup of the knobs. Clearly this company is ONLY interested in their profits and not at all in customer service. I shouldโve read the multiple reviews before using them, but had used the before without an issue. My bad. Buyer beware.
I had a great experience with them. I only waited 2 days for an appointment, they called promptly at 8 am with an arrival window. Larry arrived well within that window. He was wearing a mask, which I really appreciated. He was fast and efficient and did an excellent job. I was happy with the price and the great service. I will use them again.
