TECHY Frederick - Buy/Repair/Sell

I brought my wife's laptop there after calling many places trying to find someone that had the availability to look at it ASAP, as she needed it for work. This was the only place willing to take a look at it the same day. I was anticipating a 2 or 3 day turn around on the repair, but got a call less than an hour later saying they had solved the problem, and the laptop was powering on perfectly now. I 100% would recommend this place. And will be returning for any of my future tech repair needs

TLDR: The repair I brought my phone on for was fixed in a timely manner, but during the repair my power button was broken and I had to haggle to get a small reimbursement. Overall, beware if there are further issues while using their repair services. Used the business to repair a broken screen on my phone. I was visiting the area for a short time, and the business was able to work within my limited timeframe well and was efficient with having to order the parts and set up a time to fix the screen while I was here. I mostly interacted with Swapna, and she was courteous, knowledgeable and friendly. Unfortunately, during the repair my power button no longer worked and Swapna informed me that that was due to the process of putting everything back together after fixing the screen. She indicated that, normally, during these situations, she would fix the new issue however my timeline in the area didn't make that an option. Since that wasn't an option, I had to ask what else she could do for me given the fact that I paid full price for a service that left my phone still broken. She eventually offered a $15 reimbursement (the price for the repair was $120), and feeling like I would have to haggle to get anything more, I accepted the offer. The initial repair was completed and the service was good, however when an issue arose as a result of the business' repair, and Swapna was given the chance to do the right thing, it was a struggle to get any sort of accountability or remedy from her/the business. Left a really bad taste in my mouth.

Amazing service! I tried another place first and they said it would take 2-5 days to fix the ipad screen. I found this place and they got it done within hours same day. I also purchased a new ipad cover to protect the glass. So happy to have found them!!!

Great experience. They were right on with my computer diagnosis and there were no hidden fees. Work was done fast the price very fair. Been here twice now and was very happy both times.

Please do not waste your time by giving your laptop to this store. Last month, I gave my grandmother’s laptop to them for repair. They charged a diagnostic fee and kept the laptop for two days, only to tell me that it could not be repaired. Instead, they tried to convince me to buy a used laptop from their store, but I told them I was not interested at that time. After giving the laptop to them, new problems appeared that were not present before.Finally, I had the laptop repaired by another technician, who fixed the issue within an hour and charged a much lower fee. He explained that it was only a minor problem. He also mentioned that the previous technicians did not perform any proper diagnosis and were simply misleading customers.I would not recommend this store for laptop repairs.
