Sardar Patel Zoological Park, Ektanagar

The zoo is incredibly well-maintained and offers a fantastic experience for families, kids, and wildlife enthusiasts. The zoo is spread across a large area and houses a wide variety of animals including lions, tigers, leopards, and exotic birds. The enclosures are spacious and clean, and the animals look healthy and well-cared for. Highly recommended if you’re visiting the Statue of Unity — plan at least half a day here to enjoy everything at a relaxed pace!

Our visit to Sardar Patel Zoological Park was absolutely unforgettable! It was an overwhelming experience for us and our kids, who were thrilled from start to finish. The highlight was definitely the bird aviary – the kids were mesmerized by the vibrant colors and variety of birds flying around! The safari ride was exciting, and the animals looked healthy and happy. The staff were super friendly and made the trip even better. A must-visit for families looking for a fun and memorable day out!

It is an excellent spot for wildlife lovers. The jungle safari is well designed, giving visitors a chance to see lions, tigers, leopards, giraffes, zebras, and many more animals in large open enclosures. The park is clean, spacious, and very well maintained. It’s a great place for families and kids to explore nature along with the Statue of Unity.

The best part of the zoo is the hop on hop off golf carts that drop and pick up from various animal enclosures. The aviary was great. The small monkey enclosure with no cages was unique. Most open enclosures had big area free to roam for animals. Definitely not to miss zoo.

It is a very huge zoo with many varieties of wild animals. I suggest to allot at least 3 hrs for visiting the zoo. There is a golf cart facility which will take you through the maximum location of the zoo. However, there are few locations to be covered by a walk. At the entry itself you can see lions, tigers, leopards, etc. These big cats are kept in a glass cage which allows close encounters with the animals. Separate section for reptiles with many varieties. Walkthrough section for birds which is very nice. Many varieties of deer can be seen. Zebras and giraffes are special attractions. Plastic water bottles and food items are not allowed inside the zoo. Only baby food can be allowed. I suggest to plan the trip in the morning or evening so that animals can be seen. There is a canteen at the exit of the zoo where you can have a good variety of snacks. Recommended to visit this zoo if you are visiting SOU. Kids will definitely enjoy it.
