After years of Joe fixing my stove, I finally visited his workshop as I look to buy a new stove and it is an impressive operation - so many beautiful vintage stoves to choose from! I paid $35 for what I thought would be an authentic scan of pdf instruction manual. Instead, I received a poor-quality scan, uneven and not easy to print with extra “notes” written all over it. When I contacted the owner, not only was the quality issue dismissed, but I was told I made the ‘wrong decision.’ The tone was condescending, placing blame on me rather than addressing my concerns. Ultimately, I found the original manual for $8 on eBay in near mint condition. One star, not just for the product, but for how Joseph Oliver, the owner, handled the issue. As a business owner myself my clients satisfaction comes first even if I dont always agree with their complaints.

Jim Oliver is a consummate servicer of vintage gas stoves. I had such pleasure watching him and working with him to restore the Chambers Model C kitchen stove that has been well-used and loved in my family my whole life.
