NY flooring guys

I recently purchased an apartment in Manhattan that I have been renovating for the past month. When it came to refinishing my floors, I wanted desperately to change the color, but my contractor said he does not want to take the risk of sanding and restating them bc they are engineered hardwood with a very thin veneer and he thought there is no way they could strip off the top coat without eating into the ply beneath which would completely destroy the floors. I did a little research and found that most flooring people will not touch a floor with at least 3mm of veneer and my floors had exactly 2mm. I thought I was completely out of luck, but decided to contact NY flooring guys and see if there was anything they could do. Leo came by to give me an assessment a few days later and he confidently felt he could do the job if he and his guys are very careful. I was a bit nervous, but decided to go for it and I couldn’t be happier. My floor looks absolutely perfect and brand new. Even the deep scratches and dents are gone and the stain color is just gorgeous. For reference, the species of wood is Sapele and the stain color is Ebony with extra matte Bona HD traffic. We had a bad experience with our previous contractor, and Leo really saved the day. After discussing the issues, he quickly stepped in and was able to prevent further damage to our floors.
