I had explored a $650 rebuilt? transmission from a guy on social media working out of his rental house but wondered what corners had been cut to do it at that price also had problems even meeting up with the guy. I took the truck to another transmission shop they replaced the A and B shift solenoids fluid and filter this solved the codes but the transmission would not move the truck in 3rd or overdrive. The only option I was given by the shop was to buy a re-manufactured transmission, pay the shop to remove mine and install the re-manufactured one. I had heard about Nightingale from a friend who has heard good things about the company. I had a 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 that I had bought only for a motor and transmission to swap in to a second generation Firebird Trans AM. The truck had been poorly maintained and one might even say severely abused. I originally approached Nightingale just to fix what was broken in my transmission not a full rebuild but after meeting Craig seeing their shop (though it could not be a trans shop because their waiting area looks nice, like a bank lobby) and really thinking about it, I decided to have them do the full rebuild, they warranty their work and they included a shift kit. They do all the work in house and from what I could see have all the specialized equipment to do the job correctly. I can say so far I have been impressed and happy with the work they have done, the value, and the honest way I was treated. Since I own classic cars I will be taking my transmission work here again.

I had my Chevy suburban 2015 transmission repaired on may 2025 and till this day it’s still working very good recommend this place to anyone looking to get theirs fixed for a great price

Excellent service! I cannot recommend them highly enough. We are from Missouri and were pulling our RV behind our pickup truck north of McPherson when the truck transmission failed. After being towed into McPherson and getting a place to put our RV for the night, we called Nightingale Transmission on Thursday morning. Brian answered the phone and was very courteous and friendly. He explained that they were short-staffed and were already overloaded with transmission repairs, but, he understood our predicament and he would discuss it with Mr. Nightingale and see what they could do. A few minutes later, he called back and said that they wanted to help us and they would make our repair a priority since were were there stuck from out-of-town. A short time later, Ryan Nightingale and another employee showed up at our location, hooked onto the truck and took it to their shop. Apparently, the employees voluntarily agreed to work overtime late Thursday to get our transmission rebuilt. By noon Friday (the next day) they had finished. Ryan came to our location and gave me a ride back to their shop. Ryan took the time to show me the parts they rebuilt and explained how transmissions function. He was very informative and helpful. Soon I was on my way with a totally rebuilt transmission. Their price was very fair and came with a warranty. If you need transmission work, this is the only place to go!!
