About Mutation Brewing and Distilling Company

Mutation Brewing and Distilling Company is a craft brewery, distillery and cocktail bar on Roswell Road in Sandy Springs. The brewery describes its goal as a wide variety of distinct and ever-changing craft beers for both new and seasoned beer drinkers, and the taps rotate often, alongside house seltzers, frozen seltzers and cocktails.

It is built for hanging out, with a large outdoor space with swings, arcade and board games, beer pong and water pong, trivia nights and a speakeasy-style bar. Food comes from Scoville Hot Chicken, which runs a kitchen inside the brewery, so you can pair a pint with hot chicken sandwiches, tenders and loaded fries. The space also hosts events.

It opens at 11 AM most days (3 PM on Mondays) and stays open until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays, with free parking nearby.

Amazing spot. The beers are fantastic but it's the seltzers that make this place top notch. They have unique flavors I've never seen anywhere else (Hawaiian, Kiwi, Guava, etc) and you can mix and match in a pint. Dylan was super helpful as a bartender. The scovile chicken is also not to be missed

Still one of my favorite breweries. The beers are all amazing and they have a great variety. Now they also have several of their own distilled spirits, so they offer mixed drinks. I tried their tequila, and it was very smooth. Great staff and a fun place to hang out. The on-site food was good too if you get Hungry. I've been coming since they opened and will continue to do so. You guys do it right!

It is quite the popular place, so much so that it can be pretty difficult to find parking. There is an alternate lot nearby within walking distance in an adjacent space. The beer is decent, and it is a good amount of seating. I had the New Zealand Pilsner and Maja Blast and enjoyed them well enough. The Hot Chicken place has excellent and fresh food, slightly pricey but very hot and fresh. There are plenty of games to play and a handful of TVs around. They have a couple of side rooms, an outdoor patio, a rooftop bar (closed when I visited on a Wednesday), and even a speakeasy (see beer can wall display in photos). The atmosphere is quite loud since it is a hopping place. Not too loud to not have a conversation but definitely not a library. Overall I am decently happy and will likely come back.

First time here and absolutely love it! The bartender Dylan is the man and took care of our group. The beers were surprisingly great. My favorite was the German pilsner. Had the whiskey sour and it was decent. The ambiance here is cool. Dive bar with a lot of space to roam and great vibes! Will be back for sure!
