Mela Mandi Ground

A vast ground and open place but ignored by Metropolitan Government. The ground is uneven. There are bushes and bushes. There are trees only in one corner. Other than that there is no greenery. Some people manage on their own resources to pave some place for their playing games. It’s located at ideal place. If it is managed, it will provide plenty of gaming and healthy activities to general public.

The ground is actually famous for the annual Mela Jashn e Baharan which was held every year in March with utmost jubilations . Cattle breeds of great races were brought for exhibitions and various cultural events also taook place . Competitions of various cultural games like Kabaddi and traditional local wrestling also were also held and the signature event of this Mela used to be the game of Tent Pegging (Neza Baazi ). There used to be huge gathering of people from all the adjacent districts who used to come to witness and enjoy the event . However , since the last event took place in march 2018 , owing to security reasons this even of great cultural and traditional value isn't taking place . Besides that this is a huge park which contains fairly large area . But I am highly disappointed to see that it hasn't been maintained well at all . Given its large area , if maintained properly and arrnaged well this could serve as one of the really great parks and amusement and recreation centres for the people of Sargodha . The district management and people's representative seriously need to work on it .

A spacious ground for cricket fans and overall sports lovers. You can play, walk, run and even relax on grassy patches left after the cricketers passion. A morning walk is a better option than in the evening as many players are trying to improve game at that time.

Needs to be reconstructed,park, Gymnasium,Mela Mandi Ground,Foot Ball Ground, stairs, Plantation and much more facilities required.

Good place for sports activity, but now a days it is an open area with dust clouds. If renovate properly it would be Sargodha's racecourse ground.
