Absolutely disgusting behavior and discrimination against others with disabilities and that utilize a service animal. Before we could even walk through the door, the woman up front was yelling at my friend and I. We both use service dogs for our disabilities, my friend had her guide dog with her. This woman was yelling at us that we canโ€™t come in with โ€œthat dogโ€ no dogs allowed, was explained that she is a highly task trained service dog. A they state well we have a โ€œprotection dogโ€. As someone that has been training dogs for over 16 years no problem I understand the need for protection, service dogs, ect . She seemed like she was putting said dog up. Nope then the owner comes out screaming that they donโ€™t allow service dogs in their shop due to their โ€œ protection dogโ€. I try and explain that that is breaking state and federal as they are open to the public. The owner states well what happens if a fight breaks out, I tell him thatโ€™s on him. If he has a true protection dog then it should have a stable mind and ignore others unless told. Same with true task trained service dogs as ours are they ignore everything around them and work and mitigate their handlerโ€™s disabilities. After that he says โ€œI am open to the public I let you inโ€. After he says that, I say but you wonโ€™t let a disabled person into your shop, he then proceeded to yell at me and say well Iโ€™m not open to you or the public then, Iโ€™m closed! As I walk out with video proof of the unprofessional actions and discrimination everything caught on video. The woman proceeds to go around the corner and grab their โ€œprotection dogโ€. Seeing this dog itโ€™s definitely not a protection dog itโ€™s just a reactive dog that is it. I highly do not recommend this shop as they have an unstable untrained dog labeled as a protection dog in their establishment. Which holds a dangerous for all pedestrians and customers. They discriminated against others with disabilities, they also donโ€™t care that they are breaking state and federal law. There are plenty of other amazing jewelry stores around that follow state and federal law, and do not discriminate against others. This has been reported and we will not stand by and be discriminated against due to our disabilities and our medical equipment. DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS AT ALL COST!!!

I've thought carefully about leaving a review and I feel it's important to share my experience for other collectors that need similar work done. This was my first experience with Leeds as he was referred to me as an experienced local jeweler. I had an 18k - heavy, thick ring sized up (donut style band with bezel set cab tourmaline). I about cried when I picked it up. Rather than cutting and adding gold to continue the wonderful thickness, the band was thinned out greatly- stretching the existing gold to achieve my desired size. It's now top heavy and out of balance due to poor weight distribution. In addition, I was charged 3x the amount of other experienced jewelers at $170. Way overcharged for no added gold - and loss of presence in one of my favorite rings.

I took a beautiful ring in to be sized and a very expensive necklace in for a new clasp. The owner was there alone and we had a nice conversation with him giving an appropriate date it would be done and an estimate on the price saying he would call when it was ready. He never called, so I called and left a messageโ€ฆ nothing. I then messaged him, and called several more times, again nothing. It was almost a week later that he called and rudely said to come and get it. He greatly overcharged me from the agreed-upon price, did not use the clasp we agreed to, and was as nasty and rude as he could be. To get my items back I was forced to pay a ridiculous amount. I got to my vehicle and realized he had not returned my broken gold clasp, so I went back in and he stated he had planned to keep it, even after overcharging me. I said no. On my way out the door, he told me not to come back. ๐Ÿ™„ This man has a split personality and is untrustworthy.
