DJ Mobile Mechanic Service

DJ and his crew was extremely helpful, not only was he the only roadside to answer our call but he was right there to help. We where driving down route 20 around mile marker #9 when our front drivers side tire blew out. It damaged our electrical system as well. But no worries they had almost everything on there truck to fix all of our issues. I would recommend DJ's to anyone and everyone. He also inspected our other tires and they had dry-rot. After he got us up and running we stayed at the next truck stop. By 9am the next morning he was there to replace the other bad tires. He was a blessing to us, and reasonably priced.

We broke down on a Sunday morning in Jackson,MS. With all the mechanic shops closed we were having a tough time trying to figure out what to do. We found DJ and he came out to where we were at to check on our car. It wasn’t something that he would be able to fix there so we ended up towing it to his shop in Clinton. He began working on it immediately to figure out what was wrong with it and allowed me to watch. He found that the timing chain guide was totally broken in pieces and also the tensioner was not right. We were hoping that was all it was going to be but because of that it had bent the valves on the engine. He gave me some different options of what we could do. We ended up going with putting a different engine in our Chevrolet Captiva. He had a contact that had a used engine with less miles that cost a lot less than any we could find online. We stayed the night at a hotel that night and ended up renting a car the next morning to head back to Texas. DJ got it finished by the end of the next weekend and I drove back the following Monday to pick it up. He did a great job and it’s driving a lot better now than how it used to! He is a very knowledgeable mechanic.

EMERGENCY REPONSE - DJ and team came to our rescue when our 5th wheel trailer broke a suspension leaf spring. We will were entering on an I-20 entrance ramp and had smoke from the tires. Had to stop in a very hazardous location with traffic flying by just feet from us. Jackson police officer gave us DJ’s number. DJ and team came out, stabilized the trailer and escorted us to a safe location to access the problem. We ended up having to have them completely remove the 4 leaf suspension and take the 2 equalizers to a machine shop. The next day, they came back and completely rebuilt the suspension with new parts. Professional work and great customer service!

I do not recommend this mobile mechanic. I was charged $650 for a brake job, and shockingly, that price did not include any parts—just labor. The truck was even driven and service was provided in the shop. There was no transparency about pricing upfront, and when I asked for a breakdown or receipt, it was vague at best. To charge that much for labor alone, especially without providing or sourcing the parts, and performing work in the shop versus on the road is completely unreasonable and feels like a rip-off. I expected more professionalism, honesty, and fairness. Be cautious—shop around and get everything in writing before agreeing to anything with this mechanic. ****edit update**** After my honest review I was contacted by the mechanic shop and threatened with legal action if I did not remove my review.
