Actually it is an old tradition of making barfi in punjab. Pure milk is in abundance so it was cooked to make Khoa and a little sugar was added. Now it is reverse, khoa is added in sugar. At sargodha, two shops make it, Ludhiana and Haq Bahoo, Lahore road. Both have left their standard and now are reaping the crop of their fame and name

Ludhiana Sweet of Sargodha is famous of its "Barfi" . Special Ludhiana Barfi. Theirs are many famous Barfi shops rather brands in Pakistan like "Mand" (مند) from Gojra or Aimanabadi Barfi,, special Koray Kot (Kotmomin) Barfi. And different places on earth like special Delhi Kaju Barfi ...... Etc different type of Barfi around the world . Each has its own taste . Now Ludhiana Barfi is unique & typical in its style ( purely burn the milk) & taste. It's also the sweet introduction of Sargodha. So must taste it.

Best burfi. Rarely found nowadays elsewhere. Revised 2024 /March ************************ Not only burfi other sweets are too of superb classical Punjabi taste. I would say only Rehmare Shireen of Karachi is near to their taste. And price more than reasonable. What they need is only rebranding and packaging changing which may impact their cost so a price increase may be followed, in my opinion that's why they are avoiding rebranding. There is also best quality yoghurt available and khoya which is not available easily in rest of Sargodha city.

I had heard great things about the Barfi from others, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite live up to the hype for me. The taste was average and not as impressive as I expected. It wasn’t bad, but just not something I’d go out of my way for.

Tried Ludhiana Sweets — their barfi was just awesome! Fresh, soft and full of taste 😋 Highly recommend if you love desi mithai!
