Gourmet Restaurant Faisal Town

My family’s lunch at the Faisal Town branch of Gourmet Restaurant was unfortunately among the worst dining experiences I've had. Service & Staff Conduct The behavior of the staff was deeply unsatisfactory—rude, lacking ethics, and displaying a blatant disregard for customers. When we raised a valid concern about the order, the manager responded unprofessionally, arguing that “boneless chicken” shouldn’t include chicken breast. This was unacceptable. Food Quality & Accuracy We ordered a boneless chicken handi, expecting chicken breast, but were served a mixed boneless chicken preparation instead. The quality was below average—bland and tasteless. Upon complaint, we returned the dish immediately. Billing Malpractice The billing process was chaotic and deceptive: After paying the bill, someone knocked on our car window and pointed out we were billed PKR 1,260 for the returned dish, which we appreciated was refunded. On revisiting the bill (captured via photo), we discovered the returned item wasn't even listed—and worse, the entire invoice was overcharged by PKR 1,850. In the end, the refund of PKR 1,260 and a tip of PKR 60 to the staff masked the full discrepancy, still leaving a net overcharge of PKR535, which we unwittingly paid. This experience lacked integrity, customer care, and basic professionalism. I strongly cannot recommend visiting this branch of Gourmet Restaurant.

Gourmet Restaurant used to offer a decent mix of desi, Chinese, and continental cuisines. While it had its ups and downs, it once seemed like it was making a comeback in terms of taste and quantity. However, my recent visit was very disappointing. The overall hygiene was extremely poor — all the waiters were sweating and giving unpleasant looks. The water glass they brought had visible stains. We asked them to replace it, which they did, but even the replacement was still dirty. Although the restaurant had started gaining customers again, if things continue like this, I believe people will once again stop coming.

Food quality is good, but service was not good. It needs serious improvement. Our food came approximately 40 minutes after we ordered. Water from the air conditioning was falling on our table. Dirty glasses were given, which were later washed by a restaurant waiter.

Food was average but service, crockery and ambiance was very bad. The ketchup bottle was of mitchelles but inside it there was local third class ketchup. Air conditioning system was also worse I have attached some images that clearly states the story. Overall not recommended

I visited this restaurant after long time and was disappointed with almost everything. I usually don’t post negative reviews, but I felt compelled to do so this time. The overall standards have noticeably declined, and it will take serious effort from the management to bring them back up and stay competitive with other good restaurants.
